I don't have a 3rd gen unit in front of me, but my 2nd gen one had depressions, but no threaded holes. I essentially used the bolts and screwed them straight through the printed material.

    @MESO any insight?

Use the shorter Allen bolts. Put a Allen bit on a drill and apply pressure when screwing in. They will tap their own threads in the nylon plastic. The longer Allen bolts are too long, I designed the housing with the shorter set.

I think 2nd gen units hold 4 Cyclones. The 3rd gen unit holds 5 Cyclones.

Same here... I may have just described it incorrectly.

I'm having a tough time dealing with Toyota regarding my 2016 DCLB third brake light leak...

I'm being told I can't purchase the third brake light gasket from Toyota because it is only available with the whole third brake light assembly (150 bucks)

And I can't seem to find an aftermarket third brake light gasket/seal for a 2016 DCLB (found a bunch for different model years and Access Cabs though ????)

I may be doing this repair myself and would like to know if MESO may have what I need in terms of the gasket/seal and/or a whole new third brake light assembly rather than going with OEM again...

    Thanks for the help!

I would suggest going with a gasket maker in the meantime.

Ok; good guidance for the short term, but I'd like to fix once and for all.

Does MESO have anything for me? Please see my plea above; thanks!

The gasket maker will be a permanent fix, just depends on how clean you want to make it look.

@MESO Got any seals for a third brake light otherwise?

Any word on ordering the sea/gasket separately from Toyota, or if there is an aftermarket gasket available?? I am in need of a solution

The stock gasket is not available by itself as far as I know. It’s also a PITA to remove from the stock housing because it’s glued on

Darn, not what I wanted to hear, but that explains why Toyota only sells the third taillight assembly as one piece (with gasket likely attached) for 150 bucks...

@MESO so what do you suggest I do if I don't want that stock option...

Do you have a third brake light assembly I could use rather than the stock assembly? Any ideas, such as just using silicone to seal it up...

Get some black gasket maker and run a bead around the whole thing.
