Saw the custom multicam decal and accents in his build thread and thought it was f'n sick. I copied it right down to ordering exact same black multicam and wrapping same interior/exterior pieces. Also did the tailgate inserts.

Meso, props to you and your brilliant creativity in coming up with the idea. If its any solace, I did get a gasshole and TRD coin tray from you. Hope that makes us square :D

Cool vinyl, but i don't really think this would be considered intellectual property theft. black multicam was already a thing before Meso, and you paid for it.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

What’s the message with this? That he has cool ideas you’ve replicated similarly on your own ride or is this a rib on the weird brownnosers lol?

I know I was just being sarcastic. I don't really expect to be prosecuted for IP theft lol ... was excited to get it done and just wanted to show it off and give him props. This site is awesome for getting modding ideas and tips

Have to go with this "he has cool ideas you’ve replicated similarly on your own ride"

Would love to know more about these 'brownnosers' though lol

Nice accents. I'm going for the Greyman Special Edition look: Want nobody to remember I was there, least not because of my truck, and which telegraphs to methhead thieves casing the boatramp while I'm out night fishing, "There couldn't be anything in that one worth stealing, but there's a whole parking lot FULL of better prospects here!

Meso, put us together a Fly Below the Radar graphics package which renders us cloaking at will, with IR evasion capability, and 360-degree Men In Black "forget what happened" light racks.

Well if a methhead decides he/she wants to f*** with me or the truck because of camo accents so be it. I actually deal with the same issue - I go out shooting here in the desert at night all the time (only time can go during the summer b/c of work and the heat). You wouldn't believe the random crazies you encounter out there. They take their cars out there and just sit and get stoned. Sometimes get out and wander around. Like a scene out of Dawn of the dead. Have to be strapped at all times out here.

If that sends you into code inferno, get help - quickly. :D

Seriously though I did notice that after I applied it, but at that point it was on there and I didn't want to mess with it. I was petrified of tearing it since I had to order the vinyl from imagecraft (which was backordered btw) and then send it off to our very own Cboy808 in HI. I started the process on 11/15 and just got them now. If that's the worst that happened, I can live with it

Yep, as Edgar Winter said, they only come out at night. The campground by the boat ramp is quiet all day long. From the lakehouse neighborhood-turned methhead crash-crib rental skidrow close to the park they send their girlfriends down during the day to use the free wi-fi in the campground, them sitting on the concrete picnic tables, smoking their cigarettes and looking at their phones. What they are really doing is casing the place for the night's spec-ops. About 10pm the fart-canned third-world Honda Civic parade starts, each circling slowly through the campground, seemingly driven by what could easily pass as extras in Mad Max, then slowly through the boat ramp parking lot, slowly, casing for a quick smash and grab. The parade lasts almost until dawn. Nobody is fooled. We stare them down with a confrontational, accusatorial "try it Mutha' fucker" glare. They never accept the challenge, knowing that we are on to them, always offering only a sheepish, guilty-as-charged "grin" and a nod: any shit and they know they are on their way back to gen-pop. I evaluate boat ramps by how much window glass shards glisten on the asphalt in the pre-dawn darkness.

Sounds like something bad is gonna happen sooner or later.

I am familiar with the technique of using their girlfriends. Around here, they send a girl up to you at the gas station with a hard luck story of running out of gas and needing 5 or 10 bucks to get where they are going. Anytime someone comes up to me asking for money, I always have the same response. Act polite and say "no thank you I'm good" My wife always gives me crap saying they are not asking how you are, they want money. Its become a joke now.

I started out with the Hondo Un-Holey which is a well made unit but I didn't like the placement and how it blocked the air vent slightly. No bueno when it gets 120+ degrees out here in the desert. Ended up going to the Dashtop Multi Mount from Taco Garage. More expensive and a more involved install, but way better for my needs and now the wife has a place for her phone as well.

That's the long term plan. Wanna retire somewhere out of CA semi-remote. My business keeps me here for the time being

Ha I was in the Corps and know EXACTLY what you mean. We always got the rattiest equipment ever. Minimum acceptable quality established by military provided by lowest bidder is literal definition. Realistically its a marketing buzzword used to sell AR rifles/parts to civilians. Either way thought it was a cool way to pay homage to my time in. I actually was considering US Marine Corps Edition but he couldn't fit it in the template.
