anyone know of a good brand of black multicam vinyl? I'd like to wrap my dash trim but I don't want to run into the same problems with it that the OP did.

    Too funny!!!

Make sure you pair the rack with @MESO dual color dome/maps. I run red at night for light discipline. :D:thumbsup: It's pretty awesome. I'd post a pic of it but my PC crapped out yesterday and I'm working off my Surface and don't have access to my picture files until I get the new PC up and running.

    An AR bolt assembly.

My girlfriend isn't familiar with the inner workings of firearms. For you dudes that have boyfriends that ARE familiar with firearm assembly mechanisms.. it's not my cup o' tea but these are modern times and there's nothing wrong with that. :D

Good to know - learn something new everyday! None of my ex-BFs were into firearms and only my brother hunts so not around them much.

And there are a decent number of us women on the forums. We like to mod our trucks too! :D

Also similar (if not the same) to M-16/M-4 Rifle Bolt Carrier I had to qualify on during my 25yr USAF career.

The bolt carrier which is not pictured above is different between the M16 and the AR15. The bolt assembly (what is pictured) is the same.

I'd be interested in this as well. I had a vinyl shop wrap it, but they wouldn't warranty it since I supplied the material. I also had them do this to my hood:

They used 3M and it has held up perfectly with no peeling over the last year and a half.

you weren’t wrong at all. It’s very common for modern AR15’s to use M16 auto bolt carriers. Of all the ones in my collection only 1 has the semi bolt carrier.

That's interesting to note...I wasn't aware it could be interchangeable...that's why I guessed "similar" because I figured not stating it would prompt some questions.

Learning everyday. I didn’t realize the bcg might be different between auto and semi. I though it was all in the trigger/sear design.

Yea three main differences. Hammer on M-16 has a hook on top to engage auto sear. Bolt carrier on AR-15 has material removed to prevent tripping an auto sear. Lastly lower receiver on AR-15 also has extra material to prevent auto sear from being installed.

Mine does. Not that it really does anything special without the sear or FA trigger group. Just added weight like this.

Are you sure that's an AR-15 BCG? Every AR-15 I've taken down has a BCG that looks like this...

If that is indeed not an AR-15 BCG, does that mean you have a boyfriend, or can we agree that a gate keeper meme like that is stupid?

Edit: Appears to be a LWRC AR-15 6.8 SPC... A component of the BCG...

Who would have guessed this thread would have gone off on a BCG tangent? :D

I must say that's probably the nicest most in depth picture I've seen of a bolt carrier group.
