    How did you get rid of red stitching? Only reason I haven't picked one up. This Will match your interior great.

    What big bore kit and gear changes did you do? I have a quicksand long bed and you're making me want a GROM. Never had a bike yet, but I figure I can't go too fast on one of these!

    DO IT!
    Big bore kit is the Koso 4 Valve. Still breaking it in and tuning it, but it has some serious power. (stock 8hp, this should be dyno'ing in the high 20's)
    Gears were changed 1 tooth up in the front 15-->16. and 3 down in the rear 35-->32. I am new to the Grom scene and jumped in head first..still learning a ton. But no expense was spared on this build.
    here are some better shots. Still have some more stuff to put on and change but for the most part this is how she sits;

    I call it the DIRT GROM.

    Really just a glorified scooter:rofl:

    Thanks! First I dropped the entire shift knob in boiling black rit dye. Didn't do much, so I tried black fabric paint pen and hit all the exposed threads. Worked pretty good but obviously pulling the entire fabric off and restitching it would be the best way. Btw sorry still need to PM you but the overdrive integrated shift knob has just been on the back burner.

    From your pictures, your fender flares front most bolt hole is just before the fender/bumper line, but on bushwhackers picture it shows the bolt hole about an inch after the fender on the factory bumper, am I correct on that?
    Basically I would love to run these flares and outfit with real bolts like you did, but I have steel bumpers, and my bumpers butt right up against my fenders, so that front most bolt hole would need to be on the fender not the plastic bumper. Any info would be much appreciated bud! Thank you.

    Just very curious to make sure before I hit the order button. But from this pic it looks like it is right before the split. Just curious if there was anything I need to know about how you achieved this. Thank-you.

    I am not sure if he flare placement is higher than they were designed for. I already had the metal fender trimmed when I installed them so I just eyeballed it and drilled holes. The first bolt is very close to the fender/bumper joint but it worked out perfect.

    Alright well I appreciate the info @mesojdm
    If I can't get any wiggle room with the flares to keep my bolt hole on the fender, then trimming is always an option atleast. Might try to make a spacer and countersink and run bolts on the inside. I did something similar with my FJ40. Clean install is a must though.

    Any updates to the performance on the Tacoma?? Wondering about plugs and ignition wire upgrades for better performance?
