I’m with you here. I have the six inch version because that’s all that was available at the time. They are really stupid looking.

You probably know this by now but you don’t need to relocate the cab mount. With a 3.5” LT kit just cut the end off of it and there is no possible way you’ll ever hit it.

About the rear bumper. What brand are you going with? I’ve been trying to find a rear tube style to match my all pro front. I gave up on them long ago. After I bob mine I really want a different rear.

    Good news..Boost is coming.
Bad news..It's still at the fab shop for a couple weeks and then I am off to China for business. Hopefully beginning of August I can wrap this beast up!

I figured I had the Cab mount relocation and they are already chopping and welding, so just throw this on too. We'll see how clearance is after the +3.5 is on.
As for the rear bumper, I am going to cut my CBI H/C and weld tubes on the side to match up with the glass bedsides. It will be a "hybrid" like the new front bumper I'll be running.

From what I understand, the hybrid tube bumpers arent much lighter than regular plate. But it sure would look good to match your front hybrid bumper.

I just don't like seeing the exposed inner parts of fenders/bedsides when you run tube bumpers, looks a little unfinished. But maybe it would help if you paint the exposed parts black like how some people paint the cab pinch welds underneath?

Sand or black colored plate on the backside would look good. Blocks the view but also leaves the matching “texture” of the sides to blend with the overall look. Either way I think it will still look good though!

What are you running (or planning on running) for the rear suspension? I have an archive relocation kit and hangers ordered and planning on installing 14" with Deaver U402's. Curious about any rec's regarding leafs and shock set up. Thanks.

I am running a DMZ SUA kit. It comes with their own leaf pack(custom spec deaver IIRC) beefy u bolt plates, hangers, etc. From my research everyone seems to like this SUA the best. Then archive towers with King 14”

    Also, boxing the rear!

Well I keep changing my mind on the build...at this point I don't know if it will ever get done:goingcrazy:

I decided against the rear archive shock towers and 14" Kings. Originally I wanted to keep them under the bed but realized the 14" will be limiting my travel with the DMZ SUA rear. So now it's getting a custom bed cage with King 3.0 18" Bypasses. Ya.. overkill I know. But I'm this far in so what the heck.
    upload_2019-7-16_13-25-2.jpg

I also bailed on the supercharger. After speaking with Matt and going over all my criteria I settled on the Twin turbo kit. For one, I have a feeling it will give me more bottom end(what I really want) and with the turbos he is spec'ing I shouldn't have any lag. And who doesn't love some spooling noise!? Also, I have been working with Keith @ Dirty Deeds(great guy) and we are building a custom 3" Exhaust to let these turbos exhale
    :burnrubber:

Then comes the paint.. When I first got the truck in 2016, I loved the quicksand(still do). But there is just so many in my town and it's not a rare color anymore. And as anyone knows.. I have to go against the grain on everything. Custom is my middle name(not really).
I was going to vinyl wrap it, but I want this to be show quality(SEMA?) and super unique. So after talking with a few local body shops, we decided on a PPG MATTE clear coat over the quicksand. Some OEM manufactures are coming out with this type of paint( BMW Frost blue, Lamborghini, etc) And I think it's really going to show off the lines of the fiberglass wide fenders.

Last is powdercoat. The new front bumper(runnin4Tacos), bed cage, modified CBI rear bumper, grill, sliders, etc will all get re-coated. I am trying to settle on a color, this is where your guys input is needed! I want them black, but with a hint of flake so they will pop in the sun. I am leaning towards a gold flake which will compliment the matte tan paint. What do you guys think!?

I was hoping TITAN SPARKEL looked good just because of the epic name. But it's too blue. I am leaning towards the soft gold. It basically looks like a satin black in the shade but in the sun you can see the color.

We were joking about that color. The gloss is a little too baller for me.

Matte black bronze. I may change my mind once I look at the options on a computer and not my phone.

*Edit: Now that I'm home and have looked at the color options on a good screen, I am sticking with my choice of Matte Black Bronze. I think next would be the flat black metalic and then the gold. I think any of the 3 would look really good. I prefer the matte bronze for how subtle it looks.
