Meso customs volume button relocation

Guys, Travis shared with me via email that they are working on a redesign to address the volume button illumination issue. He said he will post here when they have a replacement button ready to go.

 

So should I wait to install mine then?

 

If I were you I’d go ahead and install the current one while you are waiting for the upgrade. It literally takes 10 minutes to install.

 

Yeah, but I don't want to have to take my steering wheel apart twice. I'll wait.

When you guys did the install did you disconnect your battery? The only reason I ask is because when I replaced the steering wheel in my 2015 wrx I disconnected the battery but I also had to disconnect the airbag.

 

Any time I do electrical I disconnect. It's one bolt vs Murphey's First Law.

 

Yes. Especially when touching an airbag, but I try to do it every time.

ordered 9/14 and got a shipping notification the same day. the tracking number never moved past their local post office. I can't get a response from support. How do you get ahold of someone over there?

Installed over the weekend and last night was my first opportunity to drive at night. The volume up area is definitely dimmer than everywhere else.

 

The dim volume up for me doesnt matter one bit, If someone wants to sell me their dim set up ill buy it.
I have CashApp, or local pickup in San Diego.

 

Noticed my Volume Up button is dimmer than the rest as well

 

Just got done installing it, will take a look tonight at volume up button. Im sure it will be same result as everyone else lol

 

Checked it last night its dim like everyone said but not enough to bother me. I know where the button is and im not going to be sitting there staring at it lol

 

It's all of them. On the site it doesn't even have a photo of the illumination.
How was this not a known issue after they built all those puddle switches?

Half working products sold under false pretenses should not become the norm.
I hope if there is eventually a fix you are all given the option for a refund or replacement.
