I'm not sure why the domes are important in the first place. I'd dump 'em and make the whole thing flat. If you want to make it easy to find volume up and track forward, put one of those little brail-like dots on each one in the black area.

the dome has nothing to do with it. it's the interior plastic shape of the button pad that is the problem

The dips and domes are there so that you can feel where you are touching without looking. Certainly not necessary but I understand the thought process.

We are working on a modified button to fix the illumination issue. We are in the works now and hopefully will have a fix for the people who are unhappy with the illumination. Hang tight and we will get you guys taken care of.

Sounds like a fix is in the works, very nice. After that as soon as you get the Stealth Pro shift knob I'll be getting one of those too. Great products.

I went a head and installed mine Sunday. As stated, the top volume button is not fully illuminating at night.
To me, it's not that big of an issue.

Not surprised you're getting it taken care of.
You probably can't tell at this point but any ball park when the updated kits might be available?

I have one still sealed. I bought it on a whim. I’m not going to install it. $50 to anyone that wants to pick it up. Fontana/Rancho Cucamonga California.

I look at it like the TV remote. After a while you don't really look at it, you just know it by feel, like braille.

Okay, I farted around this morning with some fiber optic cable to see if I could make a suitable light pipe. Nope! So, I trimmed the LED cover off the rubber piece and here’s the results.

So is this the fix? The before and after certainly looks like it might be. Got a pic of what was trimmed?
