Meso customs volume button relocation

Nope, but the little rectangle is on the rubber piece that covers LED on the PCB. It was blocking enough light to make the symbols look dim. I just trimmed it off with an exacto knife, and I only removed the one for the top and right symbols.

I ordered my kit when it came out but just installed it tonight. I guess I’m the only one who fucked up… I broke the little white square plastic collar that’s right underneath the original volume button, and now none of the buttons work. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement or what that part is even called?

 

Best bet for something like this is a wrecking yard.

The backlighting issue with this product has been known for at least 2 months now. Has anybody heard of a resolution from Meso?

 

Did the “trim”. Lights up better, only as bright as yours.

The irony of requiring a fix for the fix and the possibility of breaking plastic trim to install.

I went down a tiny rabbit hole of settling on the MESO mirror LEDs because all the other aftermarket offerings didn't blink sequentially like the OEM head LED head lights. Turns out the timing on the MESO lights are off no matter what mode they're in. Also broke a piece of plastic on the mirror cap during the install. Also needed to tidy up all the additional wiring so that the door didn't sound like a rattling piece of crap every time it was closed.

 

i bought the cheap ones off Amazon for like 30 bucks. The sequential blink is a tiny bit off from the oem headlights, but i think its due to the fact that the lights in the headlights travel a longer distance across the headlight as compared to the mirror turn signal which travels a shorter distance which is why it looks off. glad that i paid a fraction of the price for my sequential mirror lights knowing the more expensive option is basically the same thing

 

I wanna know what's up with the new Stealth shift pro knob he mentioned earlier. I'm impatient but want to know what the new stuff will be like.

I also messaged and asked if they were gonna do anything for people who bought and have the light output issue, they responded back "yes". so we'll see what they are gonna do

 

Replace the part you all are complaining about I assume… Just like they did with the dual color map lights without memory that buzzed on dim and always defaulted to white.
It doesn’t bother me in the least, but for those that it does bother, yes means you’ll get a new button at least
