Meso customs volume button relocation

I'm happy with mine. I'm just happy up is volume up and down is volume down.

Don't need backlighting really. Never noticed till someone said something in this thread.

The wiper and turn signal stalks could benefit from some lighting.

 

I know most have noticed the '+' volume arrow area is a bit dim, but I noticed on mine it's actually the '-' volume arrow area that is dim af lol

Hopefully the updated version addresses both.

 

If the dimples were just there for the stock volume it would be ok. Having to contort or move hands to adjust volume is a design oversight. The older controls 05-15 Toyotas were very comfortable. I’m glad there’s an option to remedy.

 

Any ETA when the volume control fix will be available?

 

I emailed Travis a few weeks ago and he estimated the middle of May, so we're almost there. He'll let us know when it's ready

 

I hate being patient.

We have a new batch en route and is expected to arrive mid June. This will have the new button and updated board.

I’m aware of the issue with the button. Why an updated board?

 

No details were shared. Perhaps they added another LED or something. I'm sure he'll elaborate when it's available.

 

I bought the original one and have held off installing it, waiting to see what Meso was retroactively going to do with the ones originally sold. I’ve waited this long. I’ll continue to wait.

 

If anyone has a “bad” button, I’ll take it off your hands. Hoping maybe Meso replaces the old buttons with new ones and there will be a bunch of old ones tossed

 

I’m unclear as to wether the existing buttons will be replaced or not. I didn’t get a straight answer when I submitted a help request. Frankly I couldn’t give less of a shit about the illumination, so I definitely didn’t press it as a warranty issue. Don’t know if being more Karen about it would have garnered a different response?

Meso That was the first version, it was a little dim on the plastic housing. We are producing some new covers to fix that issue.

Me If I wanted one of these new covers so the volume matches the OEM stuff, are you guys going to be selling just that piece? Is it just a redesigned button?​

Meso We made a few revisions, we haven't gotten them here yet so I am not completely sure on how it looks, we try to get as close to oem as possible. If you email me back after we get them in I can help you more​

I probably could have been more direct and I think there’s some confusion, obviously this isn’t the entire dialog but close. Not trying to throw anyone under the bus over there, but this conversation was not with Travis.

Yeah a little ambiguous. I put a Maestro in my 4Runner so the buttons function properly now but the Meso button would make it 100%
