That pretty much ended with his tail light roll out fiasco. Pretty chicken shit to me, to see him seemingly bail from TW at that “inconvenient” time, but seems there are plenty of people who don’t mind taking a chance on his stuff.

Sure seems like take the money and run right now. I wish I didn't bother to get one. Yes the volume seems more logical but the change channel buttons are still backwards for me. You could add a lot to "me so .........."

Tough crowd here. Seeing a bit of both sides here myself. It can be pretty unhealthy to try to make people happy and I struggle at my small volume, MESO is likely 50-100x me on volume. Gotta take care of yourself if you have any hope of taking care of others.

And there really isn’t anyone else doing most of these things. Some have tried. It’s not easy.

as a consumer, though, I love the plastics but don’t like any of the electronics. So I buy accordingly. Wish we could just buy the buttons, those of us with maestro, which can remap easily.

I personally didn't take a chance on the tail light, but everything else has been great. Same with KatJOs stuff. For some of these vendors, it's almost best to leave the form instead of getting banned. :notsure: That way, you can focus on a product market and building a niche business instead of replying to everyone's PMs or rumors about being banned. For sure that hurt ktjos sales.

If I didn't read about the dim light, then I wouldn't have known :notsure: Product works as designed. Next mod please...

Not sure what’s tough about it Dave. I’m a 20+ year small business owner and don’t see how bailing on the very forum, on which you drove advance orders for a product that wasn’t ready to be brought to market, the minute shit hits the fan, is defensible. I’m sure his intentions were good but he got ahead of himself and, for me personally, he handled the responsibility he took on, in the worst way possible. This switch is the same thing. Little information forthcoming and much too long for a customer centric solution.

Also doesn't help when he shifts from a Tacoma, to a 4Runner, to a Tundra. So much easier to work on something you own yourself. But now that he's bigger, who cares? At least my headlights are warrantied by Morimoto and I haven't had any issues with my tail lights. Probably why I'm still holding on to my OEM's, ha.

Ripping on people who deliver solutions we all like, this seems counterproductive to me.

Its not that we are ripping on them for delivering solutions, we're ripping on them for dropping of the face of the earth and ghosting consumers.

Now the question is what will happen to all of us who received the version with problems in the volume up button?
they going to send us the replacement?
I filed another claim for warranty, I wait for the response

Let's see, a lot of people were unhappy with the counterintuitive location of the volume and channel buttons. Meso identified the problem, came up with a solution, got it put into production and then sold it for a very reasonable price. Then he gets a bunch of grief because one of the buttons is slightly less bright when the lights are on at night.

If I were him I would have told everyone to get fucked and washed my hands of the whole thing. But that's just me, no patience with nitpickers.

Fuck that. Meso simply got his products reviewed. Sell and build your business on an automotive forum and expect constructive criticism and perfectionists. Take preorders on an expensive product that’s delivered faulty and expect a little discussion. All justified. I would say brown nosing is worse and counterproductive to both the business and the consumer.

Every item I bought has had a problem and I have all of them. Burnt out LEDs, pinched wires, faulty bolts, missing gaskets and more. None of the problems would have been sorted if not for a little criticism and review on the forums. It’s a healthy part of the business when kept respectful. Which it was.
