Meso customs volume button relocation

Man, this sure sounds like it has ended up being more trouble than it's worth.

For someone who had no interest in this product to begin with it’s definitely fuel for ridicule.
I would have paid more even without illumination of any kind. I’ve never turned on am/fm/xm in this vehicle, let alone programmed presets.
Matter of perspective

 

I purchased mine back in September of last year. And today I got my replacement, just the button. I may just drop a note to them to find out.

 

I got the replacement button. I had asked for a new board as well and that got vetoed.

 

Just the button, no board. Haven't installed it yet tho. Will post up once I do!

 

I got a response from my question to MESO on if a Circuit board was part of the issue and they said the button was the issue. I'll install mine this weekend..

 

These controls blew my mind when I bought the truck, seemed like the worse way to arrange them besides completely random. So glad this will be a simple solution (now that it's fixed haha).

 

Passing the savings on here but I have a first gen button fix MINUS THE BUTTON up for grabs, free dolla! This is the board and cable and you can have my old button if you’d like. Just cover shipping and it’s yours. Thanks @2010HDFatboy for passing this onto me but I only needed the updated button

 

They aren't going to fix that and send you a replacement?

 

This is the v2. Waited 6 months for stock and I get a backwards POS.

If for some reason there's ANOTHER fix? I don't want it.

It's a brand new product man, if they're making it right, can't really be too upset about that. It's not a hard thing to swap.
Take a deep breath and send them an email and I'm sure they will take care of it.

 

My scan buttons work as they should. Playing Spotify if I press the right button I go to teh next song. If I press the left button I go back a song. Same hold true with XM radio. Right button takes me to the next station I have programed.

But then again I have after market HU with a Maestro RR2 and I programmed them that way.

 

Maybe MESO can make a board specifically for the people that listen to the radio, so it doesn’t go backwards through the presets. But, if they ever figure out what CarPlay is, their skip and back/restart track buttons will be reversed.

Will all the people never buying anything from MESO again give Toyota the same treatment? After all, on the Toyota button the up button went down through the presets and the down button went up through the presets.

I’ve had my button for about a week now and am happy with it. In a perfect world the up/down buttons would move correctly through the presets, but I rarely listen to the presets. That is also keeping in mind that the Toyota button did not behave correctly (as previously stated the up button went down through the tracks and down up through the tracks).

I will continue to buy Toyota and MESO products

 

Installed mine today, work great. I exclusively use CarPlay though.

 

I installed mine this weekend. East enough. To pile on the nitpicks, the color of the backlit is in fact slightly different. That doesn't bother me, but it's also slightly less bright, which bothers me a little. If I get annoyed enough maybe I'll swap over the LEDs from the old board.

Overall it's a nice reverse engineering of the original circuit board, and I'm happy to have the volume button fix. The seek buttons are logical when using Bluetooth, and that's all I'll ever use them for.

 

Pardon me if this has been posted before. I did a search and couldn’t find anything.

I received my MESO steering wheel kit on June 27th. I installed the kit.

Mine scrolls the stations backwards. Push left arrow it scrolls right. Push the right arrow it scrolls left.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I emailed/created a ticket with MESO that day and haven’t received any response. GHOSTED

So I sent them a message again on July 21. Still no response.

 

Ya that's how it is. The kit only offers half a logical fix, the other is still backwards/counter intuitive. Don't expect a reply or a fix from meso.

 

They will not answer my emails.
