I ordered mine a couple days ago. Hell, I don't even know why, because I've gotten use to this one.
Oh well, I guess I did it to be different.

When you guys get yours installed, check out the backlighting at night and see if yours is inconsistent like mine is. That top button is not good. Color match is spot on, quality of the parts are great and install was easy, but this was a disappointment.

Yup, I sent them a message earlier, they've always been helpful in the past. I posted here just to give folks a heads-up to check theirs. Curious if I had a bad one or if there was a manufacturing issue.

Mine came yesterday and I installed it this afternoon, the top speaker symbol doesn’t show up very well but I’m not too worried about it.

Thanks for sharing the pic, exact match to mine so it appears to be a manufacturing/design issue. I think the lighting may be impacted by the raised spot and sunken spot on the switch surface. I bet if it were smooth it'd disperse the light better.

I checked with a flashlight before installing, but I'm thinking my final product will have the same outcome. It's such a satisfying mod for being a 15 minute install. Cruise control torque screw and cover gave me the most grief. Easy does it!

Not sure how I missed this thread; I ordered "The Steering Wheel Control Fix kit" a few minutes ago. :)

I think that this is one of the easiest mods I’ve done so far. Very happy that my taco radio controls now match my wife’s car.

Got mine on this weekend. Was a painless install, but using a magnet helped to pull the 2 T25's for the airbag out so it was able actually come out of the wheel. Working great so far and I haven't noticed any weird lighting from the volume buttons like the other posts, but maybe the garage wasn't dark enough. Either way the new button feels fantastic with the dual indents and works with no delays.

This issue is similar to my puddle pods switch. I never got a resolution from MESO.

I noticed a lot of overspray on the inside of the button and scraped it off with a blade before install. I checked it with the light on my phone before install too, and it seemed fine.

I plan on painting the covers one of these days so when I do I’ll take a closer look but for now it doesn’t bother me as I really didn’t notice that they were lit before.

Mine looks exactly like this. Not too worried about it though. I probably never would have noticed without the pictures in this thread.

Got mine installed today. Ill see tonight when i go for a drive if i have the same issue with the light not shining through good. Easy install, the screw that holds the airbag in is definitely a t30, not a t25 like the install video says... some will say this mod is unnecessary, but its just annoying going from other cars that have the volume button in the right orientation, then jumping in my truck and skipping tracks on accident. Price point was perfect too, any more and i wouldn't have done it20230918_131325.jpg
