MESO Dash Vent ring kit

All of my vents have the same numbers...

 

Correct. All vent rings are identical. If you want the notches to all line up just orient vent number 2 accordingly

 

I’m confused. None of them are sitting flush.

 

Watch the video on his website. Install is simple. Only the 2nd ring (left side of the stereo) is installed different but if you watch the video you’ll see exactly what he means.

 

if I remember correctly 1, 3, 4 are all together because they have the same orientation. 2 is located on a different part of the ring but all rings have all numbers. 2 just has a different orientation than 1,3,4

 

Mine are all the exact same.

All rings are the same. They have markings #1,3,4 in 1 spot. Then #2 in a different spot. All that is for is to clock them correctly(so the notch designs line up) because Toyota made the 3 peg holes in different locations for the #2 spot.
Many people have been confused by this so I’m thinking about just removing the numbers completely.
as for sitting flush... all 4 rings should sit perfectly flush with the inside of the vent. the OUTSIDE however will not (spot # 1 and 2 are the most noticeable) because the way Toyota designed the dash to mold into the vents at different heights. Small annoyance but once installed you don’t really notice. Hope this clears it up

 

I think I figured it out. The vent to the left of the head unit doesn’t seem to sit as flush as the others. I guess that is normal based on what you said.

 

^It was annoying at first when the vents were in hand but I kind of forgot it was even an issue until I read it constantly on here..

 

@MESO I had a couple questions about availability on the site...

I can add MGM vent ring kit to my cart but then its says sold out and is removed upon checkout?

On the opposite side, site says white map lights sold out but I can still add to cart and checkout?

 

You can piece part the entire kit for the same price. I also see White Maps in stock. Did you drop down the option for red or white? That out of stock description might be an old note

 

@MESO will you have any chrome delete kits for manual transmissions?

Put these on a couple weekends ago, they are a great touch and much much better than the chrome. MGM is the perfect subtle change while the red gives a nice accent to the headunit/dash
