I’m definitely in for a revised start ring. Mine lined up but the tabs would not lock at all. Compared to the stock ring, seemed like they weren’t quite long enough for the tab to bite on mine.

Installed today, everything went in well though it took me a few minutes to figure out the clocking in the start button. I never got a satisfactory ‘click’ on the start button, but it seems to be holding. Will see what the next few days brings.

I got cement too. I didn’t realize until after I got it the other buttons have a metallic gray looking ring. Part of my wishes I’d have matched those with the buttons and then still cement on the center console.

    Still looks better though.

There will be AC knob kits... eventually. So you'll be able to match those to your new cement accents.

Eh... if you look close, I think they're currently missing. If that is truly the AJT design, then that looks unfinished.

Anyone install the Cavalry on you Blazing blue? I really want it to look right. Don't want to just black it out.

I think it's just cause it's black. I kinda wish I got a different color, but I'm just going to wait for the Meso ones to come out.

Just received my MGM set. The installation was pretty straight forward apart from the much talked about fiddling around with the start ring. From my experience it had nothing to do with the depth of the inserts/holes. I found that mine had alignment issues with the guides/clip holes around the ring perimeter(spacing along the circumference). They did not line up exactly when compared to the stock ring(only off by very little, but enough to cause issues). I was able to install it by focusing on the 3 elements that have the holes and actually hold the ring on the housing. The rest (the small guides) are supposed to line up with the notches on the housing, but when I tried lining them up, it would make the ring pop out like others have mentioned, so I did not focus on seating those on their respective notches. I was able to mount it, but at least one of the mounting holes is not correctly lined up to its mount. It feels a little loose on that side, but at least it's not popping out for now. Looking forward to Meso's start ring revision and the A/C vent rings. For now I'm very happy to get rid of some chrome. Here are some pictures:

As Stew stated you can "fix the misalignment of the gears on the two rings.
