    Literally got the phone call today that it is in tomorrow! Bad news, is i have to wait 3 days for my home refinance to close so I don't mess with any of the credit stuff before I start the financing paperwork for the truck,,,but it will hopefully finally be home next week! I was telling the salesman at the dealer about the key today when I talked to him, lol, he was like WTF is this guy talking about ;) :)

    Thanks for the tips, since the OEM fob will be cannibalized, could you elaborate more on using snips with regards to the transponder chip? Do you mean just cutting it out completely from the fob and then pulling the walls apart? I plan to also use the original key and grind/file it down also.

    I also took my extra fob and checked the battery, it is a 2016, has anyone used a 2032 to replace it? Curious to know if it will fit once assembled in the Flip Fob.

    Not tin snips if that’s what you’re thinking. This is what I used.

    I cut all the way til I reached the transponder walls. Then grabbed the outermost wall and peeled it back.
    I did the razor blade way also and that took wayyyyy longer. Maybe 2 minutes using the cut method.

    I ordered two of these and then literally the next day I lost my key somehow...anyone know the cost of a new key? Only way to get one to go through the dealer?
