Wife’s come on if you turn on the blinker, or turn the wheel far enough. Really nice. Have to admit my night vision is starting to wane for me so these would be nice.

Just to be clear, adaptive are cool but only turn so far. These are separate side pointing lights.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Never had them on any vehicle before until my Taco. Now I want/need them on my other vehicles. I love in the mountains with very little lighting at night. Sure comes in handy.

@mesojdm Would it be possible to tie it into the cargo light switch? It would come on with the doors and key as well as manually with the switch.

His intended spot will allow it to come on with the doors as well as the proximity sensor.

I suppose, you could always add a switch to ground, with a diode, to enable you to randomly turn it on without opening a door. I think, but can not be positive, that the cargo switch is a ground switch and may work for the override "on" function you describe.

So it isn't as easy as T-ing it into that wire? Half of what you said is lost on me. As far as the proxy stuff goes, I have a MT and am not familiar with that.

ok.. He is making a T harness that goes in the A pillar (driver's side) which will allow the light to come on with the dome light. This means for trucks with key-less entry they will light up when the key is near the truck. This is something that already happens for those trucks with the dome and map lights.

The cargo light will only come on when a door is opened or the switch is moved from the auto/door position to ON. You may be able to tap (t in) to the cargo switch's "on" lead to turn the puddle lights on at will, however I will not guarantee that this is possible.

So his plan of making a harness to T i the A pillar takes advantage of greater functionality that exists in the AT/Key-less entry Tacos allowing the light to come on as one approaches the truck and when opening a door.

I hope that clears it up for you. :hattip:
