    Food for thought...
There are no lights in the mirror...where do you expect the ...
“Plug and play” light to go without removing things to install it ??

    Fun fact:
Plug and play generally means no messing with internal wires or splicing.

    Some more knowledge for ya...
97% of mods require some work to get on the truck.

    Final Notes..

Good luck with future mods. If you’re that lazy, a shop will do it for ya.

I’d give it a 6 for a first timer, and once you’ve done it...I’d give it a 4 (would be a 2, but that damn drivers side door boot gives aggravation)

Plug and play is different than difficulty meter. As far as plug and play, it’s a 10. Lol. Everything plugs in one way, super easy.

Install difficulty is another thing. For the average user, I’d say a 6-7. Blame Toyota for a tight door boot, but after that it’s just tedious(not hard) routing the wires. Unfortunately Toyota didn’t provide puddle plugs in all the trucks(wouldn’t that be great!)so this is the next best option.

True, I was thinking difficulty level. Plug & play...@MESO is right, it does all plug in. And, once you’re done, I know I love to play with it!

Gen2: Access cab platform, Gen3: MESO Puddle Lights, KTJO Power Folding Mirrors,
This install is really very easy. Everything is Plug and Play and everything you have to access is not overly difficult to take apart. I did mine at the same time I did the Powerfold Mirror mod which is much more complex. To get through the rubber boots I just took a 14 gauge solid core wire and ran it through, taped the connectors for both mods to the wire, sprayed the taped connection with 409 and they slipped right through. I thought removing the boots from the door was fairly easy though too.

The install is not hard at all. Just have to go slow, step by step and be patient. Like everyone said, the boot is the most difficult part. I would highly recommend getting the fish tool for that part. It will make your life a million times easier.

"Patiently" waiting for the puddle pods to get updated on the website, unless someone is selling them.
