Yeah I know. I done goofed. Time is so precious now a days I didn't even think to stop and take pics. It makes sense once you're in there installing the T harness.

I will take it apart again this weekend and include pictures, its a fairly easy switch to disassemble and I just used a small piece of window tint, cut it into a square, then after sticking it in the switch, I had to cut a small channel for a piece that fits back in.

The puddle switch backlight is very close to the OEM “blue-ish” just a tad brighter.

You need to make some other switches with the same color. The blue on the other switches is too blue...

If convenient, please photo and post the PC board.

If you have your tinkerer's hat on, look for a resistor attached to the anode of the LED. Increase the value of this resistor to dial in the dimming of your puddle switch and dispense with the window tint!

Super 'Thank you' for the pics. Don't know how much this helps being I'm working with a 3rd Gen. I encourage more to post pics of their set up. As of now I have a slight bulge in my "A" pillar.

When the original dude said gen 2, he meant 2nd iteration of the puddles, not tacomas. There should be no bulge. Reuse the stock plug retention clip and move it to the Meso plug, push all extra wiring down.

I think the OEM Christmas tree only fits on the female side of that plug. So pull it off the OEM female and attach to Meso female. Zip tie doesn't move and reattaches to stock location.

I should add that I'm working with a sunroof- drain tube in the "A" pillar.

I have the exact same setup as you with no bulge. I should note that my oem female was never zip tied to my Christmas tree, hence why I didn’t know to do it to the Meso plug. I’ll definitely route the wire away from the airbag. But do as the man says and pull the oem connector down to make room for the Meso connector and you shouldn’t get a bulge. Also make sure the bottom of the a pilar cover properly seats into the dash.
