I suggest you verify the whole harness before install so you don't go through what @robb1887 had...:burp:

All fixed once I found the cross wired Splitter harness. Lights worked perfect last night when out and about. No issues.

I'm a 2020 Limited but I doubt anything would be different.

Where did you get the cross wired splitter harness? So does everything MESO sent with the puddle lights is all I need? Assuming cause it’s pnp. I was just going to follow the directions on the instructions that comes with, I just don’t want to start, and get stuck, than have to wait for parts. Thanks in advance

Never mind, it’s pretty straight forward. And PNP. I didn’t get the puddle light switch, for some reason I thought my interior light switch would control on/off. But when you unlock the doors, the interior/puddle lights switch on. I like it, just one concern that the lights get really hot, not sure if that’s ok & normal? overall I’m happy with it and installing it anyways! The hardest part is just fitting all the wiring in and routing it.

Btw I used my ray bans to look at the lights cause shit is bright as the sun.

The switch is a good investment. I had the puddles wired up without the switch for a couple hours. I decided to hook up the switch so I can have them stay off until I needed the lights.

Bought the puddle light with the switch, missing y adapter and puddle light connection, anyone else have stuff missing from their meso customs box. He's been great don't get me wrong but was so looking forward to installing and now I have to wait for the parts now.

The good news is you’re in SoCal so it shouldn’t take more than a couple days to get the parts lol

You could start with fishing the wire through the boot. Then, once everything else comes in, it’ll be quick to add the rest.

I thought about it, but will wait cause I don't want to be shirt on connections as far as too much or too little slack. Plus I also had to order a new switch panel, one with two regular size switch holes and one for the small. So really would of had to wait anyways.

Hello all. I posted this elsewhere, but it was recommended I post here, so here is my problem. When the pods are all hooked up, it affects my blower fan. If I turn the key (2019 SR) to the ON position, and turn on the fan to any speed besides off, then turn the key back to ACC or LOCK, the fan stays on. I can then turn the fan speed switch to the OFF position, and the fan will turn off and stay off if I then turn the fan speed to anything besides off. I did a little checking, and it only does this when the passenger puddle light is connected via the wiring harness that goes to that side. I took the passengers side and plugged it straight into the splitter, and no problems. I unplug the LED from the harness and it still does it. This makes me think the wiring harness itself is the issue. But where it gets weird is the harness checks out fine. I have continuity across each end, but not across any two leads where I shouldn't. No continuity to ground. I even Megger Ohm'ed it, and it checks out ok. I ended up cutting the wires on the harness, starting with the side wires. When I cut the yellow, the problem stopped, but the light also stopped working. I'm not sure which one is yellow going to the LED, But I believe it is either IGNITION or PARKING, neither of which should have made the light stop working as long as the center two wires were still intact I believe. Its like something is causing the fan relay to stay latched when the key is no longer in the ON position. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all!

Anyone know the life of the led lights? Or how many hours they will last. Wonder if I can buy a spare just in case.

If it’s like any other quality LED you have thousands upon thousands of hrs worth of life in the lights. I have heard they run hot, I have not installed mine yet cause I was missing some pieces, but heat is a enemy of most things including LEDs. So once installed if they are warm it’s no biggie but if they get hot it may decrease the life of the LEDs over its time. With all that being said, aside from a manufacturer issue, the lights should perform well for at least 7 to 10 years. I would say longer but we have to remember that they are exposed to the elements such as rain, heat, cold and the like so that will also limit the potential life of the pods. Hope this helps with your decision to buy extra.

You most likely have a bad harness...like a few have had...

You are correct. Meso got me all straightened out. It was the harness. The pins were switched around. Probably would have made sense to start troubleshooting there, but Occam’s Razor and I usually don’t get along. thanks for the help!

I too would be interested in an spare set. I plan on owning this truck for 15-20 years if I can. Seems like they would be sold by VLeds or maybe Meso?

I accidentally left it on for a few hours and they were really hot. Just hope I didn’t do any damage to them. But I’d def like to pick up a spare
