also keep an eye out on the BST thread as they tend to pop up from people not installing them. Every one I have seen has brand new.

Just installed, was a bitch cause like some I tried to remove the stop latch on the door which took me 2 hrs to retighten. The other hassle was putting the wiring harness through the rubber boots, other than that everything else was straight forward, but love the output so far, hope they last.

I know I need to order some switch covers :anonymous:

Actually I have the DSIM rock light module. I like the on/off/auto switch so will be hooking it up some rock lights to that.

Same I would have done one top far left and one top far right to get the balance going. Stacked like that just feels weird to me.

So I had everything hooked up and noticed my switch was not illuminating. Everything worked on switch.

Read the updates and discovered my OG Y harness wasn’t set up for switch illumination (all black wires)

Solution was too to cut the black and send an add a tap to fuse panel.
Powered everything up and now the switch is illuminated (only in middle, not the text) and puddle lights work but only on auto.

Any ideas why the switch won’t work on manual (on) position?

Do you have the ground hooked up? I plugged everything in and tested it before I hooked up the ground and only auto worked. After I connected the ground ON worked fine.

My switch also does not light up

Bingo. The ground wire was a little loose in the connector that plugs into the switch. Had to stuff it back in and secure it.

    Thank you

little bit of here and a little bit of that...
so Due to the covid-19 I am off of work and had time to install these MESO puddles on my vehicle. And want to give people a heads up when installing these,

so when I was trying to fish the wire harness from my door to cabin, I pulled the wire so hard trying to fit it in the rubber tubes that the connectors came off, took a while for me to fish it through, but the connector came off and broke. I felt like I had no choice but to forcefully pull it cause it’s such a tight fit. My recommendation it to somehow try to pull it grabbing the actual wire somehow, to fish it through. I’m bummed. I emailed MESO. Hopefully they will help me. So I can complete my installation.

You should read this thread. Maybe the last couple pages would be enough. My suggestion is to remove the boot completely. This allows you to keep the wires as straight as possible. There is also a video detailing the install. Patience is key as you found out the hard way. Good luck

In addition to what @waltuo stated, if you hit a snag in your install, STOP! Get on this forum and ask for advice. I promise you, you won’t have to wait very long. That is what I did and I’m glad I did. Every mod either big or small, TW members are more than happy to help.

The hardest part of all this is unhooking the plastic connector for the windows. :frusty:
