Do the puddles work normally with the doors/locks if the switch wiring is not connected?

Think we narrowed it down to the splitter

Installed my puddle pods over the weekend. Install went well except I noticed all predictive guidelines disappeared from my camera views, and a small error icon on each different camera screen. Could not find anything in TW about this. Like a good citizen soldier, I checked the manual before posting, and I found that disconnecting the battery may disable this feature. Suggested fix is to Turn the wheel Full left, then Full right. Have not tried it yet but Im assuming this will restore the function, if that is not the case I will post back. Wanted to put this here since I did not see any mention of this anywhere else (except the manual).

@MESO custom panels are back in stock for those like me who want to add it to the left side cubby.

I believe all 2018 Tacomas have the left side cubby next to the steering wheel.

Update on error: So I had to go in to work today, parking garage there has super smooth concrete floor so I did the full dry turn of the wheel (several times) with no results, error still persists. Super bummed, driving home thinking about the apology letter I would have to post here and the groveling I would have to do to ask for help without getting flamed.

Pulled up to my house this evening, backing into the garage, and what do you know, guidelines restored.

So to the person searching this issue 10 years from now, just drive it for a while before freaking out, and you're welcome.

Maybe someone can help me out.

My mirror switch isn’t working. I haven’t needed to use it since I did the puddle pod install, so this may be unrelated. But that was the last time I did anything with the mirrors. I checked the plug and it looks fine, and I also checked all the fuses and they are good.

I'm going to assume bad ground location. Double check to make sure the location you used is good.
EDIT: unless I am interpreting the mirror switch ad something else.

I just installed my puddle pods and they work great on my 2020 off-road. Install went smooth and there are no issues or odd behaviors.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know where to get other rocker switches that fit in the small size switch cutout like the one MESO sells for the puddle pods? I have only been able to find rockers that fit in the large toyota slots.

Yup, definitely guessed wrong. Uh, go back through all the connectors you unplugged, make sure they are all plugged in all the way. That's the first thing I would check for.

As far as I can tell ch4x4 only has large size rockers. I'll check the other places out.
