Any one run into the issue of not being able to control the passenger window from the drivers controls after install? That and my bsm sensor is throwing up an issue. I assume I probably didn’t plug something in right, was just hoping someone might have some insight on a good starting point.

Did not have any issue with or after the install.

However, I did have a BSM issue earlier this year. Had just arrived at the office one morning. Dropped truck into reverse and it was screaming that there was something right on the bumper my passenger side. Nothing on the camera, so I put it in park and got out to see what was up. Not a damned thing there. got back in and started to backup again, now I had 2 bars. reached down and turned off the BSM, then backed up the old fashioned way...checking mirrors and head on a swivel.

Once parked I looked for damage and saw nothing, smacked the bumper hoping something would dart out. Not a thing fell or ran out. End of my day I drove home without giving BSM a thought. It was a several days later when I noticed it was not on. There had been 2 or 3 days with fairly heavy rain, and a good amount of road puddling. Once I turned it back on it was fine, no trouble since. It has been a couple months now and I am guessing the problem was a dirty passenger side sensor that got "cleaned" by all the rain.

Additionally, prior to the incident, I had not washed the Taco since Thanksgiving. Which helps me to think it was dirt, I am in FL so it is also quite likely a frog was hitching a ride on the sensor.

Moral of the story, try cleaning your sensor. It may not fix it, but there is a chance. :D

    Best of luck!!

I believe the issue you were having was with your parking sensors. They are what beeps at you when backing up. You can turn them off with a better under the hvac controls.
The bsm senses vehicle next to you and flashes a symbol on the exterior rear view mirror if you activate your turn signal when someone’s in the blind spot.

i installed my puddle lights back in march and they have been working fine until the drivers side stopped working. Have no power to the four pin connector that goes to the puddle light itself. In an older post picture here the pins were yellow, red, green, black and my pins are black yellow red, white. Sr5 with no options just want to know which pins should have power and ground.

Thanks for the info. I was able to find a loose pin on a pigtail at the drivers side a pillar. Just was a little frustrated cause as usual a thunderstorm came through as I was in the middle checking for the problem.

Would installing the puddle pods void the Toyota warranty?
I really dig em but just wouldn’t want the dealership to blame any electrical problem I may have in the future on the lights.

That is a risk, but since you have a 2016... your basic warranty (3yr/36k) has elapsed. Unless you purchased an extended warranty... then you may have to read through the fine print.

I used a ratchet extension and taped the harness to it. Used some dish soap to guide it through. Be careful with anything sharp not to cut any existing wires and or pull out any connectors on the harness.
    Fight the good fight buddy

edit: also make sure you disconnected the White wire harnesses on the inside for slack of the boot

Used a big Zip tie and taped the harness to it. It’s easy if you pull the boot off the door and the door frame on the truck.

to pass the cable it is easier to remove the two sides of the rubber boot and use this
    download.jpg

apply a little lubricant like WD40 in two minutes all done

PD : remember to leave an additional cable to use in your next projec

I’ve been watching that video the entire install. Struggled so hard to get it through though, still. Anyway, found this piece on the floor after taking off my passenger side inner door piece, anyone know where this belongs?
