Finally putting these puddle lights in. Like many members here we have plenty of these stickers. I'll see if my wife notices. (pro tip, keep separate bank accounts).

Apparently so, she didn't even notice and then when I pointed to it, she asked if it was the company that made the microwave! I'm remodeling the whole kitchen with the Meso stickers.

Looks like that blog entry is a little dated.

Ah, burned by the redesign into thinking it was more recent. Oh well.

Hey, I’m in need of the factory housing piece that fits on the passenger mirror side of a 3rd Gen. Tacoma. Anyone have any extras laying around? Any help would be appreciated!

Having a head scratcher installing the switch. I don't think I have the two connects I circled in the pic below. I grounded wire coming from the switch and now only have two connects coming from the switch. No clue where they go haha. Any help?

The switch needs to plug in DIRECTLY after the main puddle pod harness(the white connectors)

    What these guys said^.
The item you circled is a completely separate item for any additional external lighting you want to come on with the dome circuit. The triple connector is also a different item instead.
For your application specifically, the switch goes between the T-harness and the 1-to-2 splitter.

Yeah I saw the pic and started overthinking it. No clue why I took so long to install. It looked/sounded way more daunting than it was. As long as you have a claw or wire snake. Other than getting thrown off by the switch and above picture, went very smooth. Need to do some cleaning up today and I want to check the switch connections out as it wasn't illuminating last night. But (knock on wood) at this point I'm only a few hours in with no hidden bummer factor! They looked SICK lit up at night!

Thanks buddy! I think the only reason I let this pic confuse me was because I put off installation for what seems like a year. I convinced myself that I remembered seeing these parts back then and had lost them haha. Good to know those were add ons but once I got up in the A-Pillar it all made sense. What's the most common method for switch illumination?

You hit another home run with this one! I backed out of the garage just to see them at night and holy sh*t! Just killer!

The puddle switch is wired for illumination but it doesn’t dim. @Puppypunter lead and I followed to add dimming and employ a resistor to match OEM switches. I wouldn’t say the effort was truly worth it.

BTW, I have my switch in but haven’t pushed through the boots or completed the lights yet. Getting close to a year. So yeah, I get it on the delays.
