MESO Puddle Light build

That’s awesome. So you really only need two wires from the switch up into the A pillar; the dome lighting down to the switch and the power back up to the puddles… Everything else can come off the cargo switch harness and no extra chassis lead needed either.

I’ve picked up the switch illumination harness that @kmorgan3 recommended from guide outfitters.

Any pointers for which wire to tap for the ground when it arrives?

@in2seconds Did you ever figure out how to balance the color illumination on the switch? Mine has the same issue.

I’m also having similar issues with dead diodes on both sides. I’m waiting on a response from Meso. It’s strange because they have been working fine for almost a year. Checked voltage to puddle pods and switch ground and everything seems good.

 

Not for the switch, unfortunately. It seems that the fix would be to open up the switch and check the diode, but I'm not keen on doing that yet. Note that I have not gotten a resolution from MESO about the switch so I don't think it'll ever get changed.

I received a replacement puddle light from MESO, but it took at least two months to get one. Their CS is really lacking lately and unfortunately you would just have to play the waiting game and see when they will mail you a replacement.

 

I had 2 diodes go out on one of my pods. I emailed and Austin replied back same day asking for order number. He didnt reply back for a week so I emailed again and someone else responded and sent me out a replacement led pod asap.

 

It's been awhile since I've hooked them up. You can just order the LEDs from Vleds, no?
They don't say "ME-SO" on them but it's a valid replacement once warranty is up.
I should go grab a set for back up.

This worked flawlessly, wired it exactly as pictured here with @kmorgan3 ‘s harness from guild outfitters, except for adding a 5.5k resistor on the positive side to get the illumination brightness in line with the other switches.

Looks like it came this way from the factory, even at night.

Hi, I am currently looking for a front passenger side oem part of this piece of mirror assembly. The bottom piece where it is being replaced by the mod, if anyone is willing to help I’m greatly in need of it!

 

Did anyone get the puddle lights and wants to sell me their OEM piece for the passenger side? Mine fell off.
