MESO Puddle Light build

Lol, it was a old man in a dodge dakota with giant towing mirrors that had metal on the outsides. He took a turn super aggressively when I was stopped and it nailed my whole mirror assembly, came less than 1/2 inch from side swiping me. Probably should have asked for more based on how much he didn’t want me to call the popo.

 

Based on the pictures of the component boxes (and using the number of jellybeans in the jar type of guess measurement), I’d say at least 250 units on the first run... maybe a 2 minute window before sellout.

 

Good to know, but knowing my luck I will be too slow or my paypal will be too slow

And when will be the release date..... or release minute.....

 

OK..... y'all got me. After reading all 46 pages, I just ordered a set of the ultimate turns signals in preparation to get these puddle lights.

***Anticipation Intensifies***

 

The current turn signals are v4’s, the ones that will be compatible with the puddles are v5’s (not out yet, still in r&d with no ETA ATM). They are badass too though.

Hoping we can get an adapter or something to make the LE’s compatible with the puddles, maybe would be possible to do that with v4’s too but that’s purely speculation.

 

Oh my. Well thanks for letting me know! These turns signals look great anyhow and I know I am goinng to love them even if they don't work with the puddle lights straight away. Thanks!

 

Don’t bother trying to get the puddles. There is a preorder list. If your not on it you have zero chance. And whoever is on the list for the puddles gets first dibs on the next two mods. Sorry man, just the name of the game. Better luck next time. Just so you know I put me, my two kids, and a friend on the list. So.....

I'm fairly confident he's got a couple hundred on deck at a minimum. Take a look at the photo's he posted of the wiring and connectors. Way more than 50 in there. You also have to consider he most likely had to agree to a minimum quantity to be manufactured for it to be worth the mold companies time. Usually for stuff like this its a few hundred at the bare minimum. I had to agree to a quantity of 1000 for an outfit to mold me the inserts the upper half doors sit in on a JK half door. And that was after major haggling and a booty shake.

This isn't about electical right? I thought the puddles had dedicated wiring into the A pillar. Is this something to do with how the bracket for the puddles is able to pysically mount underneath the mirror?

 

I still haven’t wired them yet lol have been waiting on these puddles in hopes of having a similar connector to the v5’s so I don’t have to tap into factory wiring. Also so I don’t have to remove door panels twice

No this is strictly electrical- it’s my understanding the puddles will have an extra plug for the v5 turns so you don’t have to tap into factory wiring for drl’s, I am just hoping I can connect my LE’s similarly but if not I’ll just go for v5’s.

 

My guess is probably not. Idk how his LE wiring is but I'd imagine it's a 2 wire connector, with the single going to the door panel. The v5's will probably be a 3 wire connector
