    From a useful point of view, it might be better to have the light away from the door more. More towards the end of the mirror. The way it sits now the door itself might block some of the useful light.

    As much as I want, it’s not feasible unless:
    1)Customer cuts hole in panel
    Or
    2)I create a complete lower panel replacement
    Which is very difficult because the outter plastic tucks up behind the signal, and inside the mirror.(would be a large part and expensive mold)

    This location was the best solution for ease of install, no modification, and still retaining good output. The light is angled a few degrees as well to help spread the light.
    Here’s a better pic to show there isn’t really a good placement on the end of the mirror

    Not without protruding further down. Plus you won’t gain much more because the beam pattern on the LEDS is already pretty wide.
