I’m not sure. I’ll probably start out with an intial launch 30-40 sets or so. It’s not worth opening up a mold(yet) I’ll see how demand is at the start. I strive for functional and quality:)

    :hattip:
I’m trying to keep it simple in the beginning, so might stick with 5500k, right in the middle.

Thank you! I wouldn’t recommend them as “Ditch” lights just because they are not pointed out away from the vehicle like a dedicated ditch light. With that being said, they do have a great beam width on them and could use them as Work lights if you’re close to the side of the truck. As for being manually corntolled, that would be pretty easy. Just run an in-line button in the cab off the main wire. (Diode isolate obviously). Then they would turn on automatically like intended... or you could hit the switch to activate them anytime.

Good question! So far I’ve only been testing the 4Runner version and there is wind SLIGHT noise at ~40-45mph. (But that is with the window down and my head next to it listening). At those speeds just the road and wind noise themselves would drown it out. With the window up you wouldn’t even notice.
I think it’s the fact the recess has such a tall ledge. The Tacoma model puts the light much more flush so I don’t anticipate any additional noise. But that’s what testing is for.

Yup, already looking for small packs of dielectric grease to include with the kit:)

Would these be sync'd to the dome lights? I am in, my old Volvo had these and I feel like I need them again.

    The second they become available.

Reading the thread, it's clear they're in development, with price and availability TBD. Likely released in limited quantities, sometime in the not too distant future.

He used to have a 2nd gen. It's just a little harder to make items for a 2nd gen since he no longer has one to test fit prototypes on. He does make some items for 2nd gens it's just not as easy...:hattip:

I think Meso has the right idea just going with the middle 5500k. While many will see the difference between 5000 and 6000k, most will not see the difference between (5000 vs 5500) or (5500 vs 6000) so it's a good middle point and he won't have to purchase and make different sets.
