So I'm installing the MESO puddle pods and have this extra connector. I know that the "guide(?)" says it's for the V5 Mirror signals, and if it's referring to the V5 switchbacks, I have them installed but can't figure out how they interface. Trying to figure this out before I button everything up. Please help

one is for the v5 switchback and the other is for the pods. if you have the 360 camera its almost impossible to run it to use for the v5 switchbacks or at least I couldn't figure it out. There wasn't enough room.

I had to de-pin the small 4 pin connector in order to squeeze it though.

Which of the V5s connections is it for? I couldn't get any of them to fit

One side is "High" the other "Low" on same connector for the V5's. You already have the turn tied to the vehicle harness.

Should be the red & white. I didn't use them, I instead wired up to the headlights so I could turn off the V5 DRL's via the stalk.

So it's the DRL connection? I tried connecting it to the red/white but they were different sizes. I installed the turn Signals without them connected to anything.

This is the connector for the puddle pods though, one for the pod the other for the mirror signal

They may be a tight fit, but I'm pretty sure that's it. I have slept a few times since my install, so I'm not too certain. Lol

There a 2 wires on each connector, for the puddles it's (+) & (-), for the V5 is HIGH & DIM.

Gotcha, well I'll keep looking. The bad part of doing this install now is that all videos on YouTube feature a previous version where the pod only has one connection.

Like when I installed the VLEDS footwell kit using YouTube I was confused since they switched it from the A pillar to connect to the overhead map light controller. Thankfully their guide was updated. MESOs guide however doesn't seem to mention this extra plug or show it in their guide at all

I'm not sure what you're trying to say. The puddle pods only require one connector. Not two. The signals have the high and dim made into one connector that later splits.
This is what I'm looking at and from what I understand with the picture they provide is that the extra connector on the right should interface somehow with the connectors on the left.

You just repeated what I wrote. Two connectors that each have 2 wires. One connector to Puddles uses positive & negative. The remaining connector requires a pigtail to mate into it for the V5 DRL feature.
Email or PM @MESO for it.

Oooh you're saying two wires per connector. I gotcha. I understood two connectors a unit. Yea I sent a message to see how this works. It just seems weird that they included a connector that's not even the same size if it is for the DRL

If you use the connector that came with the puddle pods to connect the V5 switchback turn signals, how do the DRLs perform/function?

Do they turn on and off with the puddle pod switch? Do they turn on from the headlight stalk? Do they only turn on when the OEM DRLs are on?

If using the plug from the puddles, what circuit is the harness from the puddle pods using to power the DRLs on the switchback?

    If anyone else is looking….
This is the correct way to wire the puddle pod injector to the connector for the V5 Switchback Signals. I couldn’t find it anywhere else.

White to the stripped/dashed wire. And Red to the solid black wire with text.

With ignition on, they are bright. Turn on headlights or parking lights, and they go dim. This matches the headlight DRLs, but the V5 DRLs cannot be shut off from the stalk, or from the puddle pod switch. So, if you want it to match the DRL and be able to turn them off with the ignition on, then you need the harness from https://fbchs.square.site/

You also need to make sure to request the connector from MESO in the order instructions when you place your order, or email them with your order number before it ships, and it will be in the box.

    Hope this helps someone.
