Ok how is everyone mounting the resistors? The VHB tape doesn’t stay and I cleaned with alcohol too. Could I use just regular old 3M double side mounting tape or will that not work because they get warm?

You shouldn't need the resistors, mine didn't.

You can still install the resistors whether you need them or not correct ?

Ok so installed the resistors and everything worked good so I thought I would leave them but I just took them out and everything still works perfectly. So I am going to leave them out and see how it goes. I also have the ultimate turns and led’s in the front turns as well.

Not my pic but mounted in the same spot. Just used the double sided tape, it's not going anywhere.

I tried with one installed as i did one tail light at a time for comparison pics. And my blinker wouldn't work nor did the indicator on the instrument cluster show i had the signal on. So i removed the resistor and everything worked normally. Installed the second tail light stage 2 kit without the resistor. and both operate normally. Unsure if my issue was because i only did one tail light at a time or not. Thought i blew a fuse at first since the indicator didn't even work.

I always suggest installing the complete kit MINUS resistors. Drive around and test. If you DO end up needing them(small % do) it’s a few min job to pop the tails out and connect them.

Thank you sir. After installing both without the resistors, everything tested normal and has been since the install.

Noted and thanks for clarifying. I still am waiting on an available Stage 1 Kit as both batches sold out in no time.

Just installed some triton v6 amber for the front to matchy matchy. It was weird when I went to test for hyper flash, nothing turned on. So I hopped out and rotated the adapter then tried again and hyper flash like crazy (maybe because I didn’t turn the truck off) but then I put it in drive and it didn’t. Ran it through different scenarios and nothing, returned it to park and tried again and it didn’t hyper flash this time.

I don’t get it but so far stage2 total tails, v4 ultimate turns and v6 triton fronts don’t need any added resistors

I got the stage 1 installed and automatically installed the resistors. Should i try it without them?

    I didn’t need them.

But I did connect them because I didn’t want the connector end exposed to getting corrosion in the harness. I’ve see that happen all to much. Little bit of water and it’s a done deal.

Adhesive lined heat shrink. Cut like a 3/4" piece and over hang the heat shrink, over the connector. Recover the heat shrink, while it's still warm, pinch the part that's over hanging to seal it up.
