Finally got my Stage 1's--need to send them to a friends house to "avoid" conflict in the home, if you know what I mean. I actually need your guy's help with something that I experienced trying to install the lights today. I watched MESO's video several times and needed to stop altogether because I got frustrated----at myself....not MESO.

At issue, I am and have always been a handy/mr. fix it type, but I found myself frustrated with this install while doing it. I stepped back after I put the factory stuff back on and realized what I needed to do. In Sept, some unlicensed driver in a commercial water tanker ran a red light and hit my passenger front side. I thought I was well, albeit seven months after the accident, but today's lack of...uhhhh...full comprehension (perhaps even confusion) of this install makes me think I should get checked--perhaps a neurologist instead of just frequenting the chiro---of which I'm all good now--unless you ask my wife.

Anyone experience something like this after an accident. Mind you, the jolt from the accident was big, but no airbags went off, and I don't think I hit my head. I was so hopped up on adrenaline after the accident, I illogically tried to pull my tire to straighten my tie-rod which was now in a right-angleI realized right away that was a flipping stoopid thing to do (logical thought---after the matter). I can take jokes, but in all seriousness, this simple install has scared the living shit out of me because this is not normal. (as an aside, i did install the MESO turn signals on the mirror after the accident without fail, without issue, and without frustration. Thanks

Installed the Stage 2 kit today. I first tried a soldering iron with a knife tip. Did not like how it was melting the plastic into a clump so I used a step bit instead. Worked well but it was a PITA to get the flakes out. Probably did not even get the last few but I cant find them so oh well. Worked well to use the shop vac to suck the flakes out.

Now if anyone is questioning if it is noticeable or worth it... it 100% is...

It is crazy bright but not in an obnoxious way. Just looks super crisp and clean. Pictures and vids don’t do them justice. Very happy I chose to keep the Stage 2.

Sorry about your accident, but the stage one should be really cake to install. What were you having difficulty with? Or scared of? The wiring? Installing the bulbs?
I try and make it as simple as possible

Exactly. I’ve been saying this since day 1. In fact I came up with this switchback idea a long log time ago when I was doing retrofit tail lights. The total tail is just a polished version of it now. It’s tried and true:)

This evening I was going to run some errands and noticed when the engine is running the turn signal lights do not work. When I turn the engine off they work just fine. Has anyone experienced this particular problem? @MESO ?
I appreciate any input as I cannot drive without signal lights.
    Thanks.

Do you have any other aftermarket resistors installed in the truck?

Yes I do, the front signals have resistors and so do the rears.

Remove them. Start with the rears first, then retest.

I'm curious if I would need resistors, currently have LED turn signal bulbs in the front with resistors and Diode Dynamics Led switchback DRL board.

I guess I will find out as soon as I get my stage 2 kit..
