I think it will be as bright as the stock tails can be (w/out cutting it open) I’d be interested to see how a s2 with v6extremes compare to the custom led tails (am I assuming right that these are brighter than just stock s2?) then maybe I’ll stop procrastinating on buying parts for my retro I’ve talked about for almost a yr :anonymous:

Just under 4 for 3 pair. I’ve known for a week or two I was eventually going to get them all around but not at the full price so I was going to wait for the next holiday sale but seen the “ up to 25%” and figured it wouldnt get much better than that so… happy birthday me

I shouldn’t have a problem selling the v6 ambers which would help recoup some of the cost from that pair

If anyone’s been sleeping on stage 2 they’re still up on his site. Just a heads up.

Stage 1 original price $110. New price of $150 includes updated/brighter switchback. Does it also include (4) VLED Red 50 7443 LED's?

The new Stage 1 will include a pair of the brighter, custom made Switchbacks. Along with 4 new style 7443 RED's(Not VLED). I have went through a lot of testing with various bulb types, sizes, lux output, beam pattern, amperage draw, etc. I settled on a great performer(better than previous stage 1, but not quite as good as the Vled 50 chip) and working with a company to fine tune them for my Stage 1 kit. This way I can still offer a bright, and reasonably priced Stage 1(that was the whole point from the beginning). The Vled 50 7443's are great, but it would put the price point very close to the stage 2.

So I just ordered the stage 2(complete impulse buy). Should I hang on to these and not install them until he comes out with the new stuff?

Install them and enjoy. There will always be something bigger and better. But IMO this is almost as good as it gets for brightness.

Question for those that have installed. I don't think it has anything to do with this kit because I had done some wiring voodoo before this and noticed the same thing. Anyway, when I step on the brakes, one bulb takes a second to light. It happens on both sides. Curious if any electrical gurus might know why and a possible fix.

Will you be offering the bulbs separately to upgrade from V1 to V1.5? Also off topic for this particular post, but any ETA on the OG TRD buckets? I remember seeing something on your IG a few weeks back.

I have not established a “upgrade kit” but it would be more than the price difference of old stage 1($110) VS new stage 1(~$150. Honestly it’s basically the entire light kit minus the t-harness. Your best bet would be sell the V1 stage 1 as a whole and get a complete V2 stage 1. OG lids had a blemish issue in the mold(material flow)I wasn’t happy with the presentation so it’s getting tweaked at the moment .

After their stage 2 mod, will someone kindly put some videos. Or kindly share a link from another member?
It will be several weeks before I could do my own upgrade, and I'm super curious to see the results of others.
I know the Meso mod uses both halves of the stop light to turn ON when brakes are stepped upon, as well as when dash lights are turned ON.
Does the stage 2 mod also include upgrades to the bulbs/brightness of the stop/running lights as well?
(Sorry, I haven't seen how these work yet.)

Also, any tips to cut the circle port around the lip to make it wider is much appreciated.
Those doing the work, will you kindly share your experiences.
