MESO Total Tail Light Kit

I went back to stock for the week lol. Mine v1 sold in 3 mins.

 

That was probably the smartest move… plan it before the new drop and before others put theirs for sale. That’s how I’ve sold a few Meso items

 

Right! I was just hopping not to miss the drop so I was nervous. It’s nice his drops have more items now!

 

Still in stock... I got one!

 

First MESO mod purchased, can't wait to get these bad boys installed. I'm going to have to compare these to my buddy's original stage 1s at the next meet. HUZAH!!!

The original price of the stage 1 ($110) was very aggressive in my opinion for what all was included. The newest version had to have a price increase because of the new custom bulbs. $40 increase for brighter output, and higher quality/refined components is worth it IMO. As for the price difference to the stage 2, it will be increasing as well soon once that version is revised. It will have the Triton extremes in there which will definitely bump up the price.
So the new stage 1 is more like a 1.5(close to 2) and the old 2 will be a 2.5, etc.

 

Haven’t kept up with all the chatter on this thread but been waiting for restock. I understand these are an improved or 1.5 version but what all has been streamlined or improved besides custom bulbs and after comparing pics removal of some sort of capacitor or resistor to warrant an increase in price if things have been eliminated?

Also anybody wanting to sell v1 s1 I be in the market.

Dangit, MESO.. take our money. lol.. got my order in for these 1.5s plus a minimalist keyfob.. (even though I still use my smartkey thingy, since I haven't felt like modifying my tailgate to pop n lock or whatever its called.. I usually use the key to unlock/lock it.

 

The extremes are stupid bright- waiting for the switchback version. The price on the stage 2 will be a huge jump but definitely worth the price.

Is the harness going to change with a direct wire triton adapter (like the switchback) or use the 7443 bulb adapters?

Does the new Stage 1 need resistors if your truck is completely stock?

 

No

 

Mine only needed one on the left side. I suggest not adding them and see how it goes. If you need it, add it. It only takes a minute to remove the tail light assembly.

 

The NEW S1 kits don't come with the resistors though do they? (didn't see them in the picture) I mean, if you found you needed one, would you have to contact @MESO about purchasing just a resistor like the old S1 kits had?

 

This is correct. No resistors are included. Like the original stage 1, 99% of my testing and feedback on trucks concluded the resistors are not needed for proper function. In the rare chance they will be needed, just send me a PM and I’ll get you out a set

My truck needed resistors for both sides on the original stage 1 that’s why I am asking. I am giving my original stage 1 to a friend and his truck is stock too so he will probably need the resistors from the original stage 1 kit.
