The only thing brighter is the sun.
Try putting that in the adapter
    Jk
Don't you all smile every time you reverse at night?
    I know I do :D
    I love my stage 2's
Vled are supposed to have Triton extremes now/soon but I can't afford those, but you'd also have to cut the tail to fit the adapter

See that’s the trade off- no cut gets you brighter than stock. You want more than that then you must cut. I believe s1 is a specialty bulb MESO made, something to do with the bulb base and lack of switchback offerings

Extremes are out for everything but the switchback… and they are stupid bright- I smile when I hit the brakes now too not just reverse

posted already in here but look how red that is

Nice! Did you have to cut the brake light socket/housing?

No, you use the screws just like the reverse Switchback and stage 2 adapter. It’s plug and play

@MESO So i’ve really been thinking about the stage 2’s. Just curious is this an upgrade updated stage 2’s? Is there still cutting/ trimming the tail light to allow the bulb to fit? All the install Videos I’ve watched show trimming the light housing for these. One last thing I have a 2017 TRD OR well I need reservoirs for the Stage 2. Thanks

Do it. I love me stage 2’s. Looking at @kjhadfield extremes and it’s really tempting me to do it too.

@MESO or @kjhadfield or anyone that has done this before, can I replace the S1 bulbs (reds) with V6Extremes? Thanks!

    I would think so

Edit: I say this because the plugs for the bulbs are the same so logically and theoretically it should work.

The reverse bulb/switchback still needs to be trimmed for stage 2
All the red brake light bulbs are 7443 bulbs (same as the front) but no matter the v6extremes will go in the taillight with no modifications, so yes. You’ll still need to put in the screws for the v6 bulb that will line up with the slots in the housing (this part is adjustable to fit multiple style bulbs)

you just need to make sure you order the right base connector with the bulb.

maybe I’m wording things so they sound more confusing.

As a FYI, if you decide to change your brake lights or front turns to the v6extremes you will not want to use the colored collar/sleeve included. It doesn’t place the bulb in the housing at the same distance as the stock bulbs. There are 2 rows of screw holes and you’ll want to use the row closest to the base

Thanks. I felt the extremes were like the equivalent to doing a retrofit with rx350 on the headlights. That’s how I justified it- whatever works right

@kjhadfield and everyone. :thumbsup:Thx for all the advice! I Actually ordered the Amber V6Extremes (on sale right now) for the front signals. Jake @VLeds was a great guy to talk to. Just FYI if you want to order these for the front signals, you can select (7440+Parking). The pigtails are for if you have front parking active with front turn signals or using switchbacks. Hope that makes sense?
I will also be ordering the V6Extremes 7443 reds for my Stage1 tails/stop before the sale is over.:D
    Right now availability is 10/11/19...

You lost me lmao. Unless you mean for the sr5 guys that their turn signals are their drl (maybe it is actually called parking lights?) I went 7443 cause I have the led drl

don’t make the same stupid mistake I did and heatshrink the plug/socket until after you test it. I had to cut the heatshrink off and vled shipped me out a few extra (I also pulled the plug adapter apart by accident and they ship 1 of those too).

That’s when I bought them all, was on sale too- another reason how I justified it lol. You’ll be impressed, and it’s not a huge block of leds (it actually looks clean)

Right, we can’t use switch back and if we have stock led DRL for TRD and limited. There isn’t a constant current

LOL...Here's the one that I ordered for the front signals..https://www.vleds.com/shop-products/v6-triton/amber/v6-triton-extreme-kit-a.html With base adapters 7440+PARKING..

Since I also have the LED DRL's O.E. The signals only blinks;)(on/off) and doesn't light up as DRL's:cool: or parking lights, the 7440 base adapter (7440+parking) will work. :DAll I have to do is capped the pigtails. These base adapters will only give power to the 1400LM high output capabilities of these bulbs. Plus, the 7443 adapters aren't available till' 10/11. I'll be getting those for the rear tails/brakes.

Just installed my Stage 1 tailight kit-
super stoked on it! WAY brighter than stock. The brake, tail, and signal will get peoples attention for sure.
Easy as can be to install. If you have been waiting like me to get this mod, then go for it. Money well spent.
I even reused the packaging to keep my original bulbs in good order in my glove box should i need them!
