how is the perceived brightness of S1 to peoples eyes in the dark?

In traffic personally I sometimes get annoyed by extra bright rear leds. My truck is manual, so I don't hold brakes at traffic stops, yet still.

 

my girlfriend described them as "assaultingly bright" when she followed me home from dinner one night.

Following someone in their 3rd gen the other day and realized how off the OEM tail light pattern is... enough to convince myself its justifiable to finally pick up the stage 1’s... now for the turn signals!

Ha, it goes from

"No officer, I didn't see him stopping, couldn't see his lights" to

"No officer, I couldn't see anything after he hit his brakes, I went blind"

ME GUSTA!

 

Haven’t read the entire thread, but is hyper flashing when using reverse and a blinker a known issue?

Yes, and a load resistor is the fix.

 

My truck doesn't hyperflash in this situation, but some trucks do. These Tacomas don't seem to be consistent with the hyperflashing.

I have stock front turns, Meso mirror turn signal LEDs, and Meso stage 1 rears. I have no hyperflash, even in reverse, and I don't have any resistors installed.

My S1 hyper flashes on reverse too! If it's not too much trouble whenever you get a chance. Could you please take a pic of the back of your tail housings with all the wiring intact, please? I just need to see how you connected the stop/tail (reds). Just wondering if that can change if it's in a different order? Call me crazy...

 

My truck is totally stock except for meso's tail lights. I also have hyper flash but only in reverse when using either left or right signals. Waiting to see if MESO can develope a fix. Supposedly a resistor is the answer but he is still researching to verify.

 

I have his Stage 2 and mine also hyper flashes in reverse but ever since I’ve installed his ultimate turns the hyper flash disappeared.

 

Not supposedly, the load resistor is the fix for hyperflash.

 

@MESO, I have the S1 and was wondering if I can replace the turn sig/reverse with the one on the S2 or V6 triton switchbacks? Is the one on S2 a v6 triton switchbacks? Thanks! Or Maybe I should just sell my S1 and get the S2 when it becomes available...

 

You'll need a V6 Switchback as well as the socket adapters(the ones I make). Wiring is the same.

I have a new resistor in production now.

 

I was just in your site and watched the S2 install and figured I'll need the adapters but sold out right now. I'll also need the VLeds V6 Triton switchbacks to make this work. Thx!

When will the bulb adapters and resistors for the S1 be avail? I also have hyper flashing signal on reverse...
