I am in for a stage 2 when back in stock. Will be Meso mod #4. Black Friday may kill me this year, but I will die with a cool truck.

With a little patience and a lot of needle file work, the bulb is in. The modification was in fact a bit off-center. Pardon my ignorance, but what do I do with the extra single wire and quick connect that came with the kit?

Glad you got it figured out. The extra wire is not used.

Meso has some output comparisons between the two. Follow his quotes using he arrows, it’s back a little ways

    @MESO

One of my tail light bulbs is constantly on in the bright setting (when you press the brake pedal). This did not occur when I first installed it. Any tips on how to fix this?

Installed the stage 1 kit yesterday as well. Huge improvement and easy to install. The only issue with hyper flashing that I had was when the truck was in reverse and turn signals on, which in reality will probably never happen, but I tried every combination I could think of.

So the hyperflashing is a real problem? I back out of my driveway all the time and use my turn signals so if it's a major issue that might be a hard stop for me.

He has resistors I believe that will cure that, it just doesn’t come with the kit anymore. I live on a slow street so I have a bad habit I guess for not using my signals when backing out.

I mean, does it take 10 minutes for you to back out? If it's only a few seconds shouldn't be a huge deal

I expect my vehicle to function in all situations. You never know when you'll need XYZ feature and I don't want something that's going to be partly jacked up. Especially when it's a safety feature.

Is hyperflash really "jacked up" though? It's just flashing faster than normal for the 0.00001% of the time that the average driver uses a turn signal while parking/backing up etc.

And I believe there are resistors solutions here in the thread, if you want to check that option out.

Also can't remember if the stage 2s avoid the reverse hyperflash or not lol

I can email you a video if you want to see for yourself. Before installing I asked about the resistors and was informed it’s not needed for most people, but he has them if you need them.

They are a huge improvement and look great.

I think it's hyperbolic to say it's an ureasonably small fraction of the time anybody would use it.

    I use it regularly.

Call me perfectionist but it would drive me nuts knowing that it would happen even in weird scenarios.

    I guess it's a non issue since there's a solution though.

It's the power lock option for the tailgate and locks together with the doors. If I press unlock on the fob then the doors and the tail gate will unlock and vice versa. Shifting the truck into R or D will lock the doors and tailgate as well.
