Does anybody who replaced their tail lights want to sell me their RED tail lights for my 2020 TRDOR? I want to get rid of the chromed out bling that came factory. Prefer local in Seattle/Tacoma but not opposed to shipping.

You got me!!! I looked for the Dome Light and they are still or again out of stock. Maybe @MESO was stating the stage 1 was in stock. Have that on order/shipped Jan 11th.

MESO's tail light kits do not replace the housings, only the bulbs and the wiring harnesses. Your best bet would be to keep an eye on the B/S/T (buy, sell, trade) section of the forums to see if anyone is unloading a pair. Good luck!

Yeah I realize that now, was misguided thinking this was the thread for the replacements on the MESO website. Thanks for the input! Keeping my eye out.

Search this thread for the word comparison posted by MESO and you will find answers.

    “Stage 1 V1 bulbs came in at 110Lux(at 8ft) pulling .55AMPS.
The new Stage 1 V2 bulbs came in at 140lux(8ft) pulling .42AMPS
For science, the VLED stage 2 put up 195 LUX(8ft) and pulled .67AMPS.”
So it's a really good balance of performance per dollar and will compliment the new stage 1 perfectly.”

Ordered 2/14, arrived 2/18 (no mail on 2/17), installed today.

No hyperflash! I kept the bulbs in the glove compartment if one ever goes out, although that won't really work for the switchbacks. I could live with a white turn signal for a day or so I suppose, but perhaps I'll order a set of spares.

Does anyone know the longevity of the bulbs that come with the stage 1? I would like to order a spare set also; when in stock.

Is buying spares even an option? I have this on two Tacoma’s and I’ve been wondering how to get replacements.

The backing is all the same. You can either go on VLED or any * quality* led shop. I had the stage 2 from when it first came out. I wanted BLINDING so I got the VLED v6 extremes to replace stage 2 leds.

how you like them? I mean bright but a good balance between parking light setting and brake? I was thinking of just going v6 tritons (not extreme) I feel it would be good for me and I have a weird feeling about EXTREME, from Harold and Kumar go to White Castle.

    Haha!

The VLEDS and all of Meso's leds have very good difference between brake and running lights. The stage 2 is bright. Much brighter than stock bulbs. The v6 Tritons and Extremes are direct swap.
From a lux app ( not very accurate but wanted to see the numbers) the stage 2 averaged 348 lux while the v6 Triton Extreme averaged 528 lux (bulbs in tailight and standing 15ft back).
VLED leds are very well made.
