Yeah, definitely not a common mod to see on the road. Same here, I think I've only ever seen one other truck with MESO tails. Shame, such an easy and great (useful) change!

I wanted to share a Hyper Flash Update.

I have the V4 turn signals and Stage 1 tail lights. I was getting hyper flash whenever I was in reverse with the turn signal on. So I contacted MESO who quickly sent me some resistors to remedy the issue.

I procrastinated a few weeks before I installed the resistors. Then one day when parallel parking on a one way street I noticed that the hyper flash on left side had gone away on its own. I tired the right side again and it still hyper flashed. I turned off the truck and turned it back on and the right side stopped and it completely fixed it self too.

It’s been a couple weeks and the hyper flash hasn’t come back. I don’t know what could have caused it to go away on its own. The only variable that has changed is the outside temperature warming up. I’m gonna hold on to the resistors incase it comes back eventually, but for now it works perfectly.

I’m always looking because it seems tacos are everywhere here but nobody has the total tails or even aftermarket turns- still stuck with them chrome slivers

I had a local Sheriff's deputy pull in behind me at the grocery store last Friday, and asked me how I got my tail lights to function like this. I filled him in on MESO Customs and, showed him the other MESO mods I’ve got (fuse cover, coin box, mirror turns, puddle lights, Gasshole, and key fob). Apparently, he has a 2017 taco and knew nothing about TW! He was instantly hooked I think. Lol.

For now, this is Boone County Kentucky, and these guys are officers of the law, our neighbors, brothers, and sisters. They uphold and support the US constitution in its entirety. The second they start going Roscoe P. Coltrane, those sentiments change, and they know it.

Has anyone tried installing a Stage 1 on a 2020? I did and now I have hyperflash issues... I never had the hyperflash on my 2018, so I don't know if I did something wrong or if its just something thats going to happen... I messaged Meso so hopefully I can get it figured out but I didn't think the Stage 1 would have any issues... anyone have any tips on how to get it fixed?

I just installed on my 2020 last weekend. It did require the resistors to eliminate hyperflash that only occurred with turn signal and reverse at the same time. Turn signals alone didn't hyperflash.

I've been getting hyperflash mainly if I have my headlights on and use the turn signal, occasionally they'll hyperflash on their own. Thanks for the info! Where and how did you mount your resisters?

Hyper-flash is caused by a lower than expected resistance than the "normal" circuit. If you have the Meso signals and stage 1 on your 18 but only the tails on the 20 that is likely the difference. With that said some of the trucks seem to have slightly different tolerances than others, as odd as that seems. Some trucks need resistance while others do not, even with the "same" configuration.

@MESO will get you resolved. He stands behind his products and does everything he can to get everything working perfectly. He typically will send resistors out once you send him your order number. Best mount spot is on the metal behind the tail light, resistors can get hot.

Great, thanks! Is there something specific you're using to mount it to the metal or are there some screws I can't see? Sorry for all the questions, I'd like to try and get them installed right!

And MESO makes wiring up the resistors super simple (Plug-N-Play). 2nd best mod I have done, 2020 LED headlights were #1.

Meso's resistors come with VHB adhesive on the back. I just cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol and stuck them on.

Which headlights did you end up using? I plan on running LED's as soon as funding allows.

I have stage 1 in my 2020 and my dad has stage 1 his 2019 both only hyper flash in reverse but we never use signals in reverse. Neither of us have MESO mirror signals.
