Not to make light of MESO‘s situation, but for everyone out there:

I give the following advice to those who ask...

    1) Your backups are only as valuable as your data. Don’t backup? =Low value. Backup regularly? = High Value.
    2) Updated System/Software/AntiVirus= minimized opportunities
    3) Business/Pleasure... never the two shall meet. (Own separate devices)
    4) Small Business? Invest in having a SonicWall professionally installed (no, not by GeekSquad).

Ok, I'll be THAT guy... I'm sorry you went through what you did - it sucks, I know, I've been there. Was any of your customers info (PayPal) compromised?

The only info that PayPal shares with vendors/Users is contact info, so at worst.... Name/Address/Phone/email. The risk is always at the compromised account.

Also use a password manager that isn't on the computer. Every account should have a unique jibberish password. I use 1password on my phone. When I log into something on my computer I have to pull my phone out and manually type that shit in. It takes time but my money is worth be cautious over. Don't use autofill.

I use lastpass (same kinda thing) and I'm 100% happy with my decision to use it. One of the better decisions I've made the past five years. I would recommend it to anyone. It prevents this situation entirely and it saves time and what little RAM I have left in my brain.

MESO has a thread on how to do your own retrofit for better HID projectors. It’s quite time consuming and not practical for mass production.

I won’t rule out his potential to source his own design though.

Seconded last pass. I use KeePass for work and LastPass for everything else. now that it integrates with iOS it's even better. Just make sure your master password is unique and long.

That totally sucks Meso. People are dicks.

If you have ocd, do not use a step drill bit. I could not get all plastic shavings out. Doesn’t bother me but might for some. Stage two coming soon!

Yea I just don't want to open up my headlights, and LEDs get mixed reviews.. those morimotos HIDs or whatever seem to be the generally accepted plug and play solution but then I saw all the problems with the shaking? Now im just kinda sticking with the stock headlights for now but if Meso made a kit like this for the headlights I'd be all over it

For those with the stage 2, I bought a $17 wood burning kit with a hot knife. Worked fine to cut the plastic. Hotter would have been better but it worked. My kit went up to 900 degrees.

Interesting, my soldering iron goes up to 400* C and had no issue.

FWIW I have morimotos and I get a slight bit of shake when off road at a good pace. Not enough for me to be bothered tho.

Yeah it worked...but hotter would have been better. I could tell it was the heat not the blade that was cutting it.
