You can grab a resistor set from your local auto parts store or Amazon. They just require splicing into the turn signal.

Make your tail lights actually useful.

 

Just installed my stage 1s today. Had hyper flash on both sides, which was fixed with the resistor that I thank goodness bought earlier.
Very satisfied with them especially the brighter reverse lights! My taco was a 2021 btw.

 

Got my resistors in today, hyper flash is gone.

Got mine in over last weekend, glad I bought the resistors, and thanks to most folks needing them, went ahead and used them on the initial install.

Went ahead and also installed the DIR and 3rd brake light tap while doing the Total Tails. Discovered I'm missing a bottom retention clip on the passenger side, so now to source the $1.10 part and paying $10 for shipping it

 

Yup, I'm going the install resistors on the first go as well based on all the feedback. I'd hate to be halfway through the install and find I need them, have to put everything back together just to take it all apart again. So now I have to wait patiently for them to get here. MESO was out of stock so I impulsively bought them from Tacomabeast (gasp!). As a vendor of MESOs I am hoping I don't run into any issues.

 

I am not sure if this was said before, but I was chatting with Eli at VLED today, and they will be offering a new 921 V6 Triton white/amber switchback which will eliminate the need to modify your tail lamp housing for the reverse bulb like is currently required with the Stage 2 kit. ETA is just before Labor Day.

I have reason to believe the new Stage 2 kits might be offered with this new bulb instead to offer a truly plug and play solution with similar performance. Only downside is that Stage 2 kits will be out of stock in 5 minutes instead of 10, lol.
