@Tacospike, didn’t you also upgraded your reds to V6 xtremes? I thought I got that idea from you…
Two of mine died recently. It was under warranty. But I’m replacing them with red 50 vleds. Easier to swap and cost effective.

I had though about it. Ended up just putting on a VLED license plate BRAKE bar. It's pretty bright and met the output (pow) look I wanted.

I like how it had a flash mode, I always pump my breaks to get this effect. Would be nice to have an automated break flash

    Edit: no, not that kind:anonymous:

For the brake bar I had @Puppypunter make a brake pigtail harness for me with the vled female connector. Just plugged to the brake harness.

I originally had a vled reverse bar for a few years but swapped to the hitch pod. When I ran that I just tapped to the reverse lights with the provided spice connector

Yeah, I thought about getting the flash module but decided not to. It’s pretty in your face so figured it wasn’t needed.

Yeah, they come with different attachments for different applications. On post #5413 you can see how I had mine when I used it. Just used one of the round rubber seals

Edit: That's also the 7443 bulb for the stage two. Those are different compared to the 921. The 7443 are longer and wider used with the VLED adaptor. :sawzall:

The MESO stage 2 uses the 7443 Tritons, that require drilling out the tail light housing and gluing on an adapter (black part above the bulbs). The one you got is a new 921 Triton that fits in the tail light without modification, with some sacrifice in brightness due to size. It is still compatible with the wiring. If you still have the stock reverse bulbs you can play with the rings to position the 'filament' of the Triton in the same spot as the filament of the reverse halogens.

Screws are for the twist in application when installing. For the 921 bulb i just used two screws on opposite ''ends'' of the bulb to twist into the socket. The Triton 7443 bulb I used three screws placed ever other screw hole

As for the grommet. I used one of these. Can't remember which one.

I think it was the one on the left, medium thickness one
