The 7443s are about 220lumens *each* so x 4 , significantly brighter. I think the stage 2s twice as bright

Trick is having a clean cutting surface. Heat - cut - clean. Plastic will melt and glob on the knife but easily clean off when cooled. This duster comes in handy in case tiny pieces refuse to come out.
I keep this handy cause the wife likes to snack when on the PC . :annoyed:

because of the Triton backlog, I would guess it will be a bit longer than the stage 1 restock... which is

I’d also like to mention that I did I stall stage 2 and did not use any resistors. I have all stock bulbs except V4 ultimate turn signals. And no Hyperflash.

Finished testing to make sure everything is ok before doing surgery on the tail lights.
For those haven't yet, it's not that bad with a solder iron. It keeps consistent heat so less messy. Have a wet rag handy to clean the tip. Cut (melt) outwards and clean the tip of plastic goo. Doing it upside down and outwards lessens any piece falling in .
Do small section at a time . Its a small hole. I took about 5 minutes on each. You need to trim all the way to outer edge.
Also, I would refrain from any sandpaper. My OCD got the best of me when the dust collected in the corners. I had to use a PC duster to blow it out.
If you DO drop a melted plastic in there, just let it cool and get it out.

And another note...depending on the consistency of epoxy . If you use too much and lay it adapter side up, it could ooze into the housing. Lay it adapter side down and let dry .

It isn't THAT BLINDINGLY bright in person. It is bright nevertheless .
In the video posted looks REALLY bright.

I purposely use my turns now more than ever for this very reason. Every turn or lane change they burn! And if I see a 3G Taco, I very often pass them and make an unnecessary lane change just to show off!

I had been running full LEDs in the rear, with a ten ohm resistor on each side. I bought MESO's kit because I preferred the idea of a plug and play system.

I removed my wiring and resistors, and installed the MESO stage 2 kit with the VLED resistors and my 7443 LEDs.

Since I'm a dumbass who doesn't seem to learn from his past mistakes, I only tested the temporary install with the engine off before performing the full install.

Upon firing up the truck with everything buttoned up, the turn signals would only flash once. Holy flashbacks Batman! I took the VLED resistors out of the equation, and the system works fine. I can only assume that the Switchbacks have a fairly high resistance, which negates the need for the separate resistors.

I'm going to leave the resistors on the truck until VLED ships their 7443 LEDs, just in case there's a difference in resistance between their 7443s and the ones I already have installed. Besides, I suspect it'll be pretty tough to peel the resistors off of the truck. Those adhesive strips were sticky.

I used some extra wide 3m VHB tape for a more permanent solution :annoyed:. Ended up not needing them
