The resistors arrived today, order to arrival in Hawaii only 3 days, way 2 go Meso! All bulbs still working.

Good news, no more hyper flash in reverse.

Bad news, FM reception still really bad, must be something else. Will start troubleshooting. Hopefully will find loose antenna connection.

Did you not swap the bulbs to test for interference?

resistors won’t do anything at all for interference. Need to backtrack on the bulbs.

Most LEDs will have interference in some frequencies…I replaced my garage door bulb with incandescent and the remote distance improved significantly.

I can’t find any good incandescent bulbs anymore. I went with “garage door LEDs” from Genie and a year and a half later, they work great with no remote problems. I had some Great value standard LEDs and range was horrible, couldn’t open the door from 10ft away if the lights were on.

In the automotive world I’ve had no interference issues with the quality (but expensive) brands. Cheaper stuff has always been hit or miss, definitely had a bunch of interference issues with some of them.

I think you can still get garage motor specific bulbs, but they just cost a bit more than reg bulbs.

Update, replaced the 4 back to oem, drove a bit, no chg
Next I removed the reverse leds and put the stock back on the harness, no chg.
Next, disconnected the negative battery terminal, pulled the hu and unplugged all connectors, looked at all the wires, nothing unusual, put it all back and still no change. At least I ruled out the Meso Tails as the cause. Not sure where else to check. Only thing had done recently was the body shop replaced my front bumper, valence and black pieces under the grill. Wonder if a ground strap or something was undone and not reinstalled.
I'll just use my thumb drive or BT more for now.

Did you change 3rd brake? I’ve heard some folks originate there after a swap. If not, definitely a ground, as that’s the fix for the 3rd brake. There is a ground strap in the radio area as well. From the bolt area towards the driver’s side to the listed ground.

no, I didn't touch the 3rd brake light, to much risk of water intrusion. Yesterday was the 1st time removing the hu, it's all stock, just wanted to check the connections.

Don’t have much other to offer. Check main grounds, battery, body, under hood fuse block, etc.

VLEDS 50-led is decent. Personally I’ve been running incandescents in my 4 brake lights. They are as bright as LEDs to the eye and a more visible color in daylight. At night the LEDs are more intense. Meso bulbs are hot garbage.

I’ll add that I just spent the money to try VLEDS newer “V6” kit which has their extreme red bulbs. Quite expensive, but want to test. I’m not anti LED at all, just didn’t feel like the lower brightness LEDs were much of an improvement over the incandescents, though I do like the “instant on” factor. The new ones I’m getting should be brighter though which I’m looking forward to trying.

Pretty sure buying VLEDS entry level kit (stage 1 equivalent) will end up being cheaper than buying 4 single red bulbs. But, worth a check.

Are there any differences between this kit and the VLED kit?
