Drove by a 3rd gen today and can’t believe how dim our brakes are in the day. Especially compared to newer Audi’s etc. Thinking it may have had something to do with the guy that rear ended me without slowing down much at all last year. Shooting for stage 2 if not stage 1 :fingerscrossed:

technically you could do something similar to 2nd gen taillight, as the signal light lens is clear.

So... update wiring connector/harness on signal light from 3156 to 3157 (2 filaments) and use an LED Amber switchback, where amber flash on signal light circuit, but tie White light function to backup lamp circuit. Voila double the reverse light available.

I have a set of 2nd gens on the bench that I’m developing. This will be a little trickier because it has 2 different sized holes(T10 lower reverse) and larger T20 up top(turn signal) so there will defiently Need an adapter for the top

I bought a pair of '18 tail lights from someone because i like the black housing with red lens better than the black chrome on my '17...when i put them on one of the reverse bulbs was burnt out, i didn't switch over the bulbs from mine since they already had them in...didn't bother replacing them because at that time the total tail lights were dropping in a week or two...so i just left the burnt out bulb alone until i had the stage 1 to install...

sounds like we're talking about the same thing...

Great idea! So parallel parking with signal+ reverse will not be an issue! I'm DOWN for this!

I see the Stage 1 price. At what price is Stage 2?

I believe they are $240. All reviews say totally worth every penny.

Although, haven't see any complaints about stage 1's either.

Perfect. I was thinking Stage 1. They look amazing and might just be safer.
