Are they neccessary? I tested mine without them and everything seemed to work fine? Maybe I'll just remove them

I’ve just installed my stage 1s and I absolutely love it! I didn’t even end up using the load resistors at all. Works perfectly normal!

Might have something to do with hyper flash when using the reverse and turn at the same time. The stage 2 noted that the resistor aren't needed but could be purchased. Anyone confirmed the hyper flashing?

I tested all possible light combos, reverse and turn works the same with or without the resistors. Does that mean I'm good to just remove them?

Same here. Thought it was only stage 2s that didnt end up needing the load resistors. Did you just leave them off or what did you end up doing?

I say so if you tried all different combos and all works well. I still have to order V6 bulbs for my kit.

Interesting, i thought i read earlier in the thread of others with the turn signals not needing the resistors. Maybe the combination is a win. I will install mine without the resistor tomorrow and see what the result is. (i do not have the turn signals. Yet. Ordered today lol.) I am stock brake and turn light wise.

I think rattling will be the least of your issues.

I think the consensus is if you dont get hyperflashing, load resistors aren't needed. If you get hyperflashing use the load resistors.

If you use the load resistors, make sure you mount them in a way where it's out of the way of other wires as to not melt or damage any wires that may contact the load resistors. I believe it's best to mount them on metal so it acts as a heat sink. Those load resistors are supposed to get extremely hot.

I think it may have something to do with the meso turn signals already having resitors in them. But I’m not sure why some people with meso turns have hyper flashing in rear turns while in reverse and some don’t.

Those that are having hyperflash without the resistors, what year and model trim is your rig? That might help to understand things??

Cool. I thought they might but wasn't sure. Definitely makes sense... and then the some people don't. Definitely should start a list of hyper flashers and specs.

I have hyperflashing, I haven't installed the resistors yet. I'll do that tomorrow. But I have led turn signals up front. My guess is that's my problem.

    But no hyperflashing prior.

Thanks for the info. I tried every possible combo and didn't seem to need them so I removed them entirely.

Good point on the front LED signals as that might having something to do with it. Maybe @meso can shed some light on this, pun intended :p

Just installed my stage 1. No hyperflash, so didn’t use the resistors. I have Auxbeam led headlight and fog light bulbs. Along with Meso v4 turn signals.

Night and day difference from stock.

    Thanks again @mesojdm
