What bulb type are you using for your front turn signals? Stock?

My guess is stock front/MESO Ultimate Turns (10 ohm resistor built-in)/MESO Ultimate Tails (either version) will likely work without additional resistors, or at least be borderline. Once you add in upgraded front turns, etc. the dynamics change on what might be needed.

I haven’t mounted yet, but I’ll likely be mounting them similar to post #1044 in this thread, page 53.

I’m not sure how to tag that specific post, or else I would, lol

Im thinking the same thing. Front turns stock with only upgraded to meso sides turn will work fine with either stages. If you have swapped your front turns to LEDs, that's where the hyperflash will happen. i think that will be my case as I have LED turns up front as well meso V4 sides.

Thanks for the support guys! Everyone should be receiving stage 1's, and stage 2's shipped Friday so expect them throughout this next week.
Keep an eye out here for updates on new releases:D

    Thanks! The reason it's tighter than stock is a few reasons;
1)I made the tolerance gap a little less. I wanted a TIGHT waterproof fit
2)The O-Ring I use has a little harder durometer than the stock O ring.(softer material).
That is why I designed a hex or wrench flats onto the bulb, if it's tight just take some pliers or a wrench to lock it in tight!

ME as in ME, Myself, and I

OR like MESO horny, MESO soup, MESO----whatever you want!

It all depends on what I have going on in production. If ALL I did was total tails, it would probably be a week or less. But I am juggling other projects, and tend to jump around.

Yes those are the same bulbs I use in my stage 2 kit. The 5K is out of stock at the moment(I wiped them out) But you can get the 6k if you need them ASAP.

I would just make sure it isn't zip tied directly to a wiring harness. Although they will get warm, I don't think they will get hot enough to melt though any wiring...but just an extra precaution. I include 3M VHB tape installed (which is designed for thermal expansion), so I suggest mounting them to the metal inner fender well.(if you need them)

    I'm trying!
Another batch of stage 2 will be next. Then hopefully my custom stage 1 VLED bulbs will be manufactured and I will have MANY more kits to go around:D Baby steps...

Glad you like it!! I put a lot of time and effort into making this as seamless, functional, and installer friendly as possible;)

I think this combo is pretty solid without resistors. I just include them because everyone's setup is different. Another reason why I made the quick disconnect harness so you won';t have to be yanking wire taps off if you do not need the resistor.

Is no one liking the 3m tape for resistors? A lot of post are saying about mounting them.

I just installed the resistors. Got rid of the hyperflashing. I mounted the resistors behind the metal brackets towards the top inside the taillight cavity. I figured this was the only place that wouldn't contact any other wires. But I guess per MESO they wouldn't get hot enough to melt any wires. Oh well. But I also just used the 3m tape, my experience with 3m tape is, its just as good mounting them with hardware.

Stage 1's are a vast improvement over stock. I always hated the way the taillights lit up. They always looked like a bulb was out. Now they are exactly how it should be. I cant imagine how bright the stage 2's are gonna be. Stage 1's are great. Stage 2's must be greater. Haha.

Shout out to @Panchovilla6192002. Good dude! He helped to hook me up with a stage 1 when I was out of the country.

@mesojdm Will you or are you planning to offer the stage 1 switch back bulbs / harness for purchase ? Was looking to get a set as a back up pair as a “just in case “ something happens to the ones that came in the kit down the road. Would love to have a spare set i could keep in the truck.

    Thanks

Funny thing is, I did a comparison (that night) with the stock bulbs using only the harness and the other side using the red leds......

I’m terms of brightness, they looked about the same to me. However, the color is where I could tell the difference.
The LED side was a true red whereas the regular bulb looked almost orangeish.

Having the amber turn signal is awesome and is definitely super bright. I need to take another look at the reverse lights in use at night.

Maybe the 2019’s come with brighter taillight bulbs. Or maybe my bulbs are still fairly new and haven’t lost any brightness. I don’t do that much night driving in the taco.

It would have been good to have done a comparison @slowlane

    This is a stage 1 or 2 ?
2 is definitely brighter than stock.

I used the harness to use both parts of taillights with regular bulbs
