As said in previous posts, it is brighter. I've ran incandescent bulbs for 2 weeks while waiting for the 7443 LEDs. When backing up in my garage it is BRIGHT red. The shade of red is much better since they're red leds. The running light is about same until you press the brake. That is a huge difference. Also the faces behind me lit up red.
I hated the stock running , brake and turn .The turn gets washed out when braking.
These are bloody red and you can see it reflected off the signs.

For clarification, you ran stock lights (red, red and white) until arrival of the 7443 reds and V6 Tritons? Curiously I ask....

Installed the stage 1 this afternoon; looks great. Love the crisp cutoff of the LED amber signals.

I just put those up front and considering just waiting for @mesojdm instead of using vleds.

...too slow, managed only a harness.

C420D24C-7E3D-47E2-8614-08D746992021.jpg I got lucky and got in on the 1st batch of stage 1 . After using them ever day for the past few weeks with mostly night driving I have had 0 problems . My stage 1 has worked so well I wish I would have just went strange to stage 2 . Thank you for making the Tacoma taillights look how they should of from the start !

I was on the fence with stage 1 or 2 for the longest. I wasn’t sure I wanted to cut into the tail for the adapter.

After further thinking and remembering I do plan on cutting up my headlights for a retro… it didn’t make sense to use my original excuse.

Yeah it’s not different than a headlight retrofit. You are modifying for greater performance. If you REALLY don’t want to mess up your OEM’s, you can find a set of mint used tails for $100-150.
But that’s why I developed both stages, one for each type of customer:)
Yup! This is how the Tacoma’s should have been from the factory IMO. I’m just fixing what Toyota messed up:D

If any of the stage 2 guys find they need resistors let me know. I got in on the first batch and don't need them.

I’m good, once I thought of it as a retro my mind was at ease
Good to know. Do you have your front turns as leds?

Not yet but I've got a bunch of other stuff hanging off my turn signal circuit and total load has been a problem for my truck. Adding a resistor wouldn't help.

MESO ultimate turn signals V4. They have increased resistance since they are so much output. And a Baja Designs RTL-S. I've tested removing my stock bulbs all together and I don't get hyper flash.

Installed my Stage 1 tonight. Did it right after the sun went down so I could see the difference when only one side was installed.
I’m super impressed, the brake lights are bright!!! Love the amber turn signals too.
Install was crazy easy, ultra plug n play
