Does banning them really make a difference? Whether they are on TW or not. There's a big enough demand that they will still sell. Is it wrong to do? I think so. Is it actually wrong? Of course not. These people have an opportunity and they took it.

Personally I think its outright greedy, not taking advantage of rare hot selling item, but to take advantage of TW community that's more often giving than profiting.

 

If they want to be slime then sell it on eBay. TW is different.

 

But they still profit. I'm not arguing for them to stay. I'm sure people are looking on second hand websites to find these kits.

 

Shit even to a point meso agrees (at least I would think based off this statement). I'm sure it annoys him, people taking advantage of his time and creativity.

They should at least have the decency to start thier own thread. Haha.

 

This intention of trying to profit off of it is just dick.
It must've been just hours since delivery as some are still waiting for it.
I can understand if he held onto it for days , weeks and decided not to install it but to post it just hours, hell, or even minutes is intention to profit.
He should be banned from future sales

 

My point is that the mods can only control TW. People can choose to try to profit off others work. That's how most markets work. However these items are being sold here on TW by @mesojdm . If they want to profit off it then they should go somewhere else. Because TW is more like a family than a market. If you disagree then try to sell one of @mesojdm 's products at a profit and see what happens.

Were def arguing the same point. I just dont understand banning someone for something like this. Unethical behavior is happening on an equal level all the time on TW and the mods do an awesome job of weeding it out.

There are many overpriced items in the buy sell forums. But if someone is willing to fork over the cash.....why not.....? Not my personal belief, this method is on par with ticket scalpers. It's not like he's selling a defective product with intentions of ripping someone off......at least I dont think. But that is a different scenario and if be true.....drop the hammer!!!

 

We're not arguing the same point. I agree that is how it works in the rest of the world but TW is different. The mods can't catch everything but if an honest vendor like @mesojdm is selling his product on TW then a "scalper" shouldn't be able to sell the same product on TW. Same reason scalpers are arrested or removed from private property (aka NFL stadiums).

I agree it’s kind of bad form to do a quick turn for profit on this same site… would of been better to sell elsewhere if for profit, just to not look like an dick. Knowing how many ppl were at the computer trying and failed, I guess my conscience gets the best of me personally.
