Hey guys. Just curious if anyone else who recently purchased a MESO customs TRD gear shifter is having difficulty with it fully seating with the chrome delete kit. Mine pops out when I throw my vehicle in park. I’ve tightened and loosed it and it still does it. Any advice?

I would contact @MESO and see if he has any tips. He is usually quick to respond and his customer service is top notch.

I forget what it looks like in there but we need to figure out a way to increase the friction.

I took pictures of the hole I made in his thread, of the underside too. You know to possibly help others make a better hole drilling (I guess it only helps if people read back in the thread). I think I also suggested using a smaller bit than what was mentioned in the video.

The back side wasn’t clicking at first (dry run without it being in the truck) but once installed it clipped fine no popping out.

I drilled mine before you mentioned the smaller bit, I'm pretty sure.

Nah, he has his designated threads (which Is one reason I never understood someone making a new thread asking a question on a product that already has its own designated product thread). Or you can pm him or you can email customer service for possible tips. But those 3 are your best options rather than making a new thread, it’s just unnecessary imo (when there’s better options)

I measured the size of the connecting terminal with a caliper tool and then used a fractional drill bit to go one size larger and then drilled the hole. I think you can get away with a 5/16" drill bit. I made sure that there was still some of the snap lock material on the shift boot if that makes sense.

I had the same issue. The chrome-delete ring I got was just ever-so-slightly too small, causing it to ride up on the original chrome ring. This doesn't allow the boot to clip into the bottom of the knob completely. I ended up not using it since all I really wanted to do was the start and 4x4 buttons.

I wouldn't do the superglue thing since it would put even more material between the original and MESO ring. It would also be in constant tension, and therefore destined to fail.

    Possible solutions:
    - If you don't care about the chrome ring underneath, you could sand it down a bit to help the MESO ring fit better.
    - PM @MESO the issue and he may have more insight on a better solution.

IIRC the boot is fastened on the center console pretty securely. I don't quite remember but I feel like I remember seeing it
