MESO X MORIMOTO Full LED Tail lights

With the sounds of it, I doubt this would happen now. But MESO was able to sell me a single tail light a while back for a great price when I broke one of mine. Then I sold the set on CL before I ran into any issues with them. He’s a good guy, just not sure what’s happening these days

I have a clear lens right tail. My left tail went the same way as @Rainoffire and fell off and broke the plastic housing (first time). I msg'd Meso two months ago and have heard jack shit back.

As much as it pains me because Meso has been such a great vendor here on TW over the years, and I've bought so many of his mods, it appears he has gone the way of KJTO and KB Voodoo, which is a damn shame.

I'm happy to cut bait as I picked up a set of DEPO's, no looking back. Send me a DM if interested.

 

Travis contacted me, he said he will follow up with Meso on the new versions. This was a week or two ago, so still waiting on an update.

Update on the Clear Taillights:

Mori Moto has since revised them in both LED brightness and Clip designs. We unfortunately do not have any Clear tails in stock at this time. For any warranties of the Clear lights it can be done directly through Mori Moto via (support@theretrofitsource.com). This will be the most efficient and quickest route. You will need to provide receipt of purchase which if you need please let me know and i'll get sent over. If you have any issues with your warranty please email me directly at Travis@mesocustoms.com

So is Morimoto replacing every 1st edition set since the tab improvement is an admission of faulty design?

I don't really feel like waiting for my $650 tails to fall out on the trail or driving across country to fill a warranty.
Just so I'm clear, I bought them trough Meso but now my warranty agreement is being transferred to Morimoto?

 

They only have the new updated versions for replacements.
Since Mori Moto is the manufacturer of these these tail lights they will handle the warranties of these tail lights. We were processing warranties in house and going through Mori Moto , but we no longer have the clears in stock. We also do not have any of the updated variants in stock.

Thanks Travis for the update. I'll go down this path for my warranty claim.

 

Has anyone with red lenses had the clips break? I’m scared to even take them off and look for cracking at this point.

 

when i installed them last year i could hear them slightly crackling as I was hand tightening them in. that being said they haven't fallen off yet. i almost want to take them off to see if they break then i'll warranty them thru mori moto and put the pro tails back on.

Pretty standard for most warranties...

 

Not really, there are plenty of stores that let you return/exchange with no receipt... Especially seeing as there isn't any question to where the lights came from or who made them.

 

It’s typical that the warranty applies to the original owner / buyer only. Unless transferable as advertised.

 

You're right, I would just hope that with this being from a smaller business they would honor any returns/exchanges. Unfortunately, I have a feeling I'd be on the wrong end.

 

At this point, I can’t contemplate why anyone would want to purchase these, new or used….kudos to anyone that can sell them off though.
