So, I have emailed you several times and sent video links of the turn signal failures of my lights and
haven't received any response from you. Now what? Is this not a warranty claim?

these recent post by @Travis@Meso sounds like they’re slowly washing their hands of it and deferring to TRS/Morimoto who is pretty big. I wouldn’t buy these second hand and expect any warranty being honored.

I truly hope I’m wrong. In my opinion, these lights seem to be from the same batch and if this were a large manufacture, it’d prolly be somewhat of a recall….I mean, these tails could fall out of the the mounting location and then you wouldn’t have rear brake lights, right? I know…Im being extreme…

    Just FYI

The Retrofit Source will either make you send your tail lights back first (rendering most of our trucks inoperable) or make you buy new tail lights first and then refund you once they've received your faulty set of lights back.

I don't feel either of these options is great knowing the amount of issues these lights have.

I agree with your assessment. I can certainly understand them wanting the defective lights back, but just about every place I've ever had to process a return with ships you the new product and includes a return label for you to return the defective ones in the packaging that the new ones arrived in. If they don't receive your return in a certain amount of time then they charge you for the replacements. So now not only did Meso sell tail lights with design defects but they make you shell out another $600 to get them replaced? Very bad form.

Hmm... That's odd. That's how TRS used to do it, but over the past 18mos or so they have been sending equipment out with a 30-day time limit to get the old ones back or they charge you for both. It's odd that you got that proposed resolution.
There's a lot that went into this of course, but to keep things short MESO does not (and never did) own this product. He was the design inspiration and fronted a bunch of money to get it off the ground, but DLG (parent company of TRS/Morimoto) owned the project all along.

I have no doubt that factually you are correct, but I don't think it was presented quite that way when Meso first marketed them pre-production. If I recall correctly it was billed as a joint venture between Meso and Morimoto. IMHO people relied on Meso's reputation for quality products and customer service to pre-order (and pay in full) for what at the time was the most expensive aftermarket tail light on the market. It should probably have been made more clear that Meso was just basically acting as a dealer so that people could set their expectations accordingly.

I thought it was odd as well. I'll have $1300 in shitty tail lights at this point. Who knows if I'll really get the upgraded lights either. Not much was communicated with me.

They have replaced parts for me in the past and just sent them out.

You are correct. @MESO claimed they were his design that Morimoto was producing for him. Joke was on us.

Aren't they still the most expensive tails for the Tacoma?

I had to check their website on what their warranty policy is. It does state that:

Are you still responsible for the shipping cost to send the lights to TRS?

Good thing I stumbled upon this thread, I was considering ordering these. Looks like I should hold off.

Still working with Headlight Revolution on my warranty.

I contacted Travis at Meso for my shipping label and order info.
I then contacted Headlight Revolution and was informed to make an account for the claim.
After a few calls and emails back and forth, I was then told "We are set to receive those next generation of lights in a few weeks but I do not have an exact ETA on that arrival date."
Clear updated tails are still not in stock and am waiting on the next email response to get a couple answers.

Will I need to ship my old lights back?
Can I start my claim now rather than wait for restock?

I believe they are offering a full replacement if understand correctly.
I am hoping to get the ball rolling and start the claim immediately but it looks as though they are in the process of fleshing out how to process Meso claims.
The automated ticket system isn't really set up to upload proof of purchase from another site. I had to call to find an actual email that wasn't listed.

I will continue to update on the process.

    Got mine from Meso directly…
Travis instructed me to chase morimoto directly. Sent an email 2 days ago with no response yet.

    jeez.
